One of the most exciting changes for the garden is this new crossing light! A safer crossing for the hundreds of students every week, let alone all the public that crosses here! Thanks to Luigi and Topper for finding a grant to fund these and make them happen!

Our last Workshop Wednesday for 2026 is Art in the Garden. Join Farmer Val for some garden-based art projects for artists of all ages from 10 AM - noon on Wednesday, Aug 12.

We have had such a great time with summer friends in the garden this week, so the garlic harvest part of the workshop tomorrow is cancelled. The students who were in the gardens really deserve a round of applause for their amazing work! Tea Walk workshop is still happening at 11 AM. And of course, if you have questions about growing or harvesting garlic, feel free to ask one of the farmers!

Next Wednesday, July 29, we are doing our 2nd Workshop Wednesday. At 10 we will harvest the garlic planted by 2nd grade students last fall. And then starting at 11, Farmer Val, a certified clinical herbalist, will be leading a tea walk through the gardens. Learn how to harvest and dry herbs and prepare your own teas.

We finished much of the pizza oven rebuild yesterday. Thank you to the families that showed up, the summer school students who helped, and the staff that got pulled into the work! We will have the oven building continue during the open house today from 9-3.
