We had SO much fun at our August Open House… we decided to do it again! 💗🩰

It was wonderful meeting so many new dancers and families, and we loved seeing how much more comfortable our newest students felt after having a chance to see the studio, meet our faculty, ask questions, and get familiar with everything before their first week of classes.

So, before our 2026-2027 season begins, we’re opening our doors one more time!

And because it was such a hit in August, we’ll once again have our collection of gently used dance attire and shoes available for purchase, a great way to stock up before classes begin!

Tristan Marshall’s Contemporary Dance Commercial Workshop starts THIS WEEK! Dancers will be working Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00–7:00 PM!

Tristan has lots of cool things planned, and the workshop will conclude with a dance video featuring all of the dancers, filmed at a local location outside of Turning Pointe! There are plenty of fun surprises underway!

We still have a handful of openings if anyone would like to join us. If you’re interested, just pop us an email and we’ll add you to the roster!

Step into the world of commercial dance with our dynamic, high-energy intensive centered on contemporary dance. Designed for intermediate and advanced dancers ages 13 and up, this program is perfect for those looking to expand their versatility and elevate their technique.

Throughout the intensive, dancers will immerse themselves in technique classes, choreography, improvisation, conditioning, and on-camera performance training.

Participants will gain valuable insight into the expectations of the commercial dance industry, discover how to bring their individuality to every performance, and build the skills needed to stand out in a competitive field. Come prepared to work hard, take creative risks, and leave feeling stronger, more confident, and ready for the next opportunity.

The intensive will conclude with the creation of a professionally produced dance video directed by Tristan Marshall and filmed and edited by professional videographers, featuring all of the dancers. Each dancer will receive a copy of the finished video to keep and share for their own use, along with personalized critiques to support their continued growth.

We are incredibly honored and excited to welcome pianist Marina Stolyar to Turning Pointe this week!

Marina will accompany our Intermediate Ballet Workshop with live piano Monday through Friday, bringing an extraordinary dimension to our dancers’ training.

There is truly nothing like dancing to live music. A pianist and dancer are constantly listening and responding to one another and the entire studio comes alive with the energy of artists creating together in real time. It challenges dancers to become more musical, attentive and expressive artists rather than simply dancing to music.

Marina will also teach a special Music for Dancers session, helping our students better understand rhythm, phrasing, tempo and musicality and how those elements directly influence their dancing.

Marina Stolyar is a versatile pianist whose extensive career spans ballet, musical theater, jazz, performance and recording. She received her B.A. from the Gnesin Music College in Moscow and her M.A. in Piano Performance from Gorki State Conservatory in the former USSR. She has recorded numerous albums of music for ballet classes and currently serves on the music faculty at The HARID Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida, where she accompanies ballet classes and rehearsals and teaches the course Music for Dancers, which she created for HARID’s students.

This visit is particularly special to Turning Pointe Artistic Director and owner Laura Sciortino, a graduate of The HARID Conservatory, where Marina was one of the pianists who accompanied Laura’s own ballet training many years ago. 💙

What a full-circle moment to now have Marina at Turning Pointe, sharing that same musical education with the next generation of dancers.

We cannot wait to fill the studio with beautiful dancing and LIVE MUSIC! 🎹

Thank you to everyone who came out today to visit Turning Pointe, especially on such a busy Falmouth weekend! It was such a pleasure to meet so many new faces! But first… OPEN HOUSE! ✨

Join us at Turning Pointe this Saturday from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM! Come meet our faculty, tour the studio, ask questions, register for fall classes, and see what Turning Pointe is all about.

Then on Sunday, you’ll find us at Trunk River cheering on the incredible Falmouth Road Race runners!

We’ll be out there in our TUTUS, blasting classical music and bringing all the Turning Pointe energy to help pump you up as you make your way to the finish! 🩰🎶🏃‍♀️

This past weekend our dancer, Cordelia, was back at SAB enjoying and learning at their One Day Experience. What a lovely opportunity to see old friends and be back at the beautiful School of American Ballet.
