After three wonderful years at the middle school, we said farewell to our 8th grade students last night 👋 We celebrated their participation in academics and after-school activities, the growth they've experienced during their time at the middle school, and the impact their class has left.

It is the end of an era for our 5th grade students, who celebrated their time at the elementary school with their peers, staff members, and families this morning🎉
Students highlighted special school memories, favorite school events, and passed advice on to other students. We can't wait to welcome these students to the middle school next year!

Our garden team helped over 700 elementary school students celebrate the upcoming end of the school year with class pizza parties at the garden pizza oven 🍕
Students enjoy their handmade pizza and explore the gardens before they leave for the summer, giving them a chance to note the changes that they've seen in the garden from the fall to the spring to the summer.

Our Pre-K students had a big milestone this week when they visited the cafeteria for breakfast. Pre-K students usually eat in their classrooms, so this was their first time experiencing a meal in the cafeteria and learning about lunchroom expectations. FES Kitchen Manager Ms. Thibodeau spoke to the students about what they can expect next year when they eat breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria. This experience helps students know what to expect when they transition to kindergarten, reducing first day fears.

A special guest visited the elementary school on Friday ⚾️
As a reward for reaching their ticket goal for their positive behavior as part of our PBIS program—which keeps Falmouth Elementary School a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment—the Sea Dogs mascot, Slugger, greeted students as they arrived at school Friday morning. Students were excited to meet Slugger and the fun event encourages them to continue to be responsible, respectful, and safe.

Arriving times have been adjusted as follows:
Students should arrive by 11:45 am
Gates open at 12:00

The Class of 2026 made one last return to the elementary and middle schools yesterday during their March of the Graduates 🎓
This beloved tradition gives younger students a chance to celebrate the graduates and get excited for their own future graduation, is an opportunity for staff to see their old students, and is a great way for graduating students to say goodbye to Falmouth before they graduate.

Creativity and fun were on display yesterday when FES students put on a performance of The Circus Ship for their peers 🎪 The play is based on the popular book The Circus Ship by Chris Van Dusen and celebrates community and friendship. Student participation in theater performances helps build confidence, allows students to connect with peers outside of the classroom, encourages artistic interpretation, and more! Thank you to FES staff member, Ms. Wood, for her hard work organizing this opportunity for our students.
