Today is the last day of our Space theme and we wrapped up with a special treat, Moon Pies! 🌖
We also had a visit today from Mad Science! We discussed our five senses and had demonstrations on sounds! We made a rain storm turn into a thunderstorm, learned why water evaporates, and tested our theories on big sounds and little sounds on different sized strings. We even had a visit from a very loud dinosaur in a can. 🦖

Next week is Construction Week and we will be building our new playhouse on the playground!

It’s Zoo Animal Week at William Penn Center!! Today we were visited by the Elmwood Park Zoo.🐍🐢🦎
We met Sydney, a Blue-Tongued Skink, Tango an Argentine Tegu and Lena an Opossum. We talked about omnivores, nocturnal animals and how some animals can drop their tails and grow them back!!
We were able to feel an Opossum paw and Tangos skin! We were all in agreement that it felt “weird”. 😊

We had a totally awesome Red, White and Blue week! The heat tried to bring us down, but we made the best of it! We kicked off our water 💦 play days, rocked some tie dye T-shirts and wrapped up the week with patriotic popsicles and confetti. 🎉

Next week is Olympics! We are hoping the weather behaves and we can go for the Gold Medal 🥇
