The weather was much better this week and the game was a lot of fun! There was a light show after the 3rd quarter and after the game there was a celebration light show for America’s 250th birthday!

It’s not the best picture and a six people weren’t in the photo: Mary Darveau, Angie Taft, Mia Lemerond, Bryn Taft and Olivia Santo (they were meeting the Domino’s pizza delivery guy) and Lisa Heineman (left to get the bus). Big shout out to her for volunteering to drive our full bus!

Thank you to everyone who gave up their Saturday to help! Some of the sophomore volleyball players came right after their games today (Bailey, Kemper, Payten, and Kinley. Our total for the day was 67.
We also really appreciate the helpers that returned this week.

Next week is our third game in a row. It should be a fun game. There is a Cole Swindell concert after the game. We aren’t sure the exact details, but we will let everyone know when we do. We know our people will step up if they can.

Congrats to the Lady Irish on winning the HTRS Tournament. They beat Pawnee City, Southern, and Dorchester. Good luck at MUDECAS this week!

The Irish boys finished the week off with another victory! The cheerleaders hosted cheer camp today and the girls were able to cheer tonight at the game. We had a lot of Irish spirit tonight! Thank you all who attended cheer camp! ☘️❤️

Hudl is experiencing an outage and it isn’t on Sacred Heart’s end. Hudl told us to leave it on and it should be fixed soon. Score is 32-0 Irish are winning- 7:31 to go in the 3rd Quarter

Tonight’s a perfect night to tailgate and support Sacred Heart!!! Go Big Green!!

Friday Night , Sept. 11, there is a Tailgate Game Day Feast at the SH vs JCC football game at Jug Brown Stadium serving from 5:30-7:00 PM sponsored by Equity Bank.

This is a free will offering for a meal, but the best part is that Equity Bank will match up to $2500 for all the money brought in by the tailgate. If you pay $20 for your meal, it will bring in $40 for Sacred Heart. If you make a $100 free will donation, Sacred Heart receives $200. If you donate $250, Sacred Heart will receive $500. This is a great fundraiser sponsored by Equity Bank to help Sacred Heart School.

The proceeds from Friday night will pay for a new Box Trailer for the school. It can be used to transport many things, but this will be especially beneficial to the Sacred Heart One-Act Cast and Crew to transport their props, costumes, and stage equipment to one-act performances. We hope that Friday’s tailgate will pay for this purchase.

If you don’t make it to the Tailgate, Equity will have a table inside the stadium that you can make a donation too, which they will match!

After the game, Equity Bank will also be feeding both football teams.

The Irish Volleyball team battled back and took down the Sidney Cowgirls! 🔥

After dropping the first two sets, the Irish showed incredible fight and determination to win 3 straight and complete the reverse sweep!

Final: Irish win 3–2

For school- K-6 may wear shorts; All students may wear blue jeans. Red, white, or blue sweatpants are also allowed. No leggings.

For the game- wear patriotic and all military and service men and women are admitted into the game for free!!

There are many different ways to support Sacred Heart. Please do not feel obligated to purchase something that you don’t want. Some people love things and others have different preferences.

Trash Bags—sophomore and junior class fundraiser; orders are due Wednesday, September 16th and they will arrive at school by Wednesday, September 23rd. They are $16 per roll. Pictures have more details. Order forms were sent home with youngest in the family (they are bright yellow).

Lucky Loot cards—thanks to the businesses for agreeing to participate again this year! 7-12 students each have 5 to sell, but they are competing for top sales, so some have asked for more. Money is due back to school by Thursday, September 17th. They are $10 each and the discounts are good for the entire year. Proceeds go to Sacred Heart. The school makes almost $9.25 for each cards sold, so this is one of our best fundraisers!!

Butter Braids- all proceeds go to Sacred Heart. Youngest in family received order forms. Forms and money are due September 30th and butter braids will be at school on October 16th. They are $16 each.

Thank you to those families and businesses who have joined the Booster Club or supported Hudl or the Video Board. Mr. Goltz is still selling memberships.
