We had a super fun day today at our first fundraiser of the year - the Car Wash! Thank you so much to all of our hard-working volunteers, all of the people who lent us the supplies that we needed, and to our incredible community for coming out to support us! 💕

Our goal was to raise $1,500 dollars to help support our school and...WE DID IT!!

🚗💧 PTA Carwash Fundraiser! 💧🚗

Come get your car sparkling clean! Our PTA is hosting a donation-based carwash, and every dollar goes right back into programs and resources for our kids.

🎉Join us TOMORROW night at 7pm on Zoom for the first SHES PTA meeting of the 26-27 school year! Spanish interpretation will be provided. All are welcome! The Zoom link will be emailed to all current PTA members tomorrow before the meeting. The Zoom link and will also be sent through Talking Points.

We will vote on our proposed 26-27 PTA budget, hear updates from Ms. Vega and Ms. Bermudez, and learn about upcoming PTA events and volunteer opportunities! Visit shespta.org to join the PTA!

Just ONE week ago we were only at 24 members, and we are now up to 66! And 26 of our members are SHES teachers/staff! Woohoo! We are getting closer to our goal of 100 members!

Let's talk about school supply kits!

✏️ If you ordered a school supply kit that was delivered to your home, please bring it to the Open House this Friday (8/21) and leave it with your child's teacher. If you are not able to drop off the kit shipped to your home during the Open House, please send it to school with your child.

✏️ If you ordered a school supply kit and did NOT have it shipped to your home, you will be able to pick it up from the gym during the Open House this Friday (8/21). You can then take the kit to your child's classroom. If you are not able to attend the Open House to pick up your kit, the PTA will ensure that the supply kit is delivered to your child's classroom.

✏️ We will have a limited number of school supply kits available for sale in the gym during the Open House.

🌎 While you are in the gym, be sure to look at all of the world flags that are hanging! These flags represent the many countries that our Sleepy Hollow Elementary School students are from (they go around the entire gym)!! These were gifted to the school with lots of love from the PTA and were installed over the summer!
