I have openings for Foreign Language Tutoring / Exam Prep / Accent Reduction

I tutor primarily French, Italian, Spanish, Latin, English, writing, and social studies. I have decades of experience. I successfully taught hundreds of students in Northern Virginia during my ten years as a certified teacher (both ESOL and French K-12) with Fairfax County Public Schools, including nearby elementary schools, such as Marshall Road, Camelot, and Westlawn. I taught French Resource and French Immersion at Kent Gardens in McLean.

I specialize in speaking, listening, accent reduction - my thesis for entrance into the Ph.D. program was on foreign language immersion - reading, writing, art, cuisine, culture, history, and travel planning, as I am the travel and culinary writer for Viva Tysons Magazine.

I majored in French at the University of Virginia, studied in Paris and Avignon, France, and have a Master's in Applied Linguistics from Georgetown University. I also worked as a Computational Linguist & Lexicographer and Senior Software Training Specialist at the international foreign-language translation software company Globalink, Inc. for 10 years.
