Today we celebrated! We had the chance to come together to honor some of our colleagues and say goodbye to some as well. Special recognition goes to Ms. Victorov, who is retiring after 30 years in all spent at DCC! After we met, filled our bellies with and it was a DEEEEE-LICIOUS was to wrap up our morning! Thank you, everyone, for another spectacular school year. We’ll see you again in August - take care! 😎

Today we celebrated our annual transition ceremony ! We had the opportunity to recognize and honor 46 seniors leaving and to thank SO many people who support DCC all year long! We are so proud of our community every day, but especially today! Thank you to Mr. Clayton, Ms. Piccolo, Ms. Huh, & Dr. Howard for organizing & conducting the ceremony with finesse and attention to all the important details; thank you Tristan, Rhoda, Hudson, & Evan for being our student speakers; finally, thank you Pierre and Alyson Thomas for your moving and heartfelt message to our audience! Today was a good day @ DCC. 😊

What a week! So much happening in our community as the school year wraps up. Community-based learning, an art show, graduation practice, SIR winners, and our Friday night Davis Family Partnership Carnival! It’s been a wonderful school year and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for 25-26!!! 🤩

Thank you and Principal Vandawalker for being such phenomenal partners this year! Our students learned so much and they certainly had an amazing send off! 🥳🤩

It’s that time again! We’re getting ready for our annual transition ceremony on Monday. All our graduates are practicing, practicing, practicing and doing such an AMAZING job preparing for everyone who will be joining us for the ceremony on Monday. It’s going to be AWESOME!!! 🤩

Today’s Senior Celebration was a big success! We had a wonderful time with our class of 2025 transitioning students who will be lesvDCC and this year. We had the chance to recognize six students with our annual Jessie Mirasol Helping Hands Awards, we had a fantastic lunch made by , we had music and activities, and then we headed back to school for tie dying class T-shirts and more fun! Thank you to our wonderful worksite partner for hosting us today and congratulations to all of our seniors! 🥳🥳🥳

Our annual Spring Dance was a hit! DJ Raymond gave us nonstop music & dancing, plus there was laughing, chatting, and fun all night long! Our DCC community knows how to have a good time and this year’s dance was an exceptionally good time!!! Thank you to all our students and alumni who came out on a beautiful Friday evening and to all the staff and family members who helped make the evening a memorable celebration of our community! We’ll see everyone again at the Beach Dance in September… ☀️🏖️

Our team prepared yummy cookies for today’s Summer Extravaganza! The weather was beautiful and the turnout was fantastic! Our students had a great time talking about DCC and selling cookies. 😎

This week has been busy and we 💯 celebrated our amazing teachers and staff! The work they do with our students each day is truly inspiring! Thank you, DCC staff, for ALL that you do to make our school a truly magical place for students. 🤩 Special note - one of our students created a portrait for each staff member based on their school photo! Such a treat to see his artistic interpretation arrive in our mailboxes. 🎨🖼️
