About BYRD:

A handcrafted wooden balancing bird featuring original Arabic calligraphy. Inspired by the Hadith about entering Paradise with hearts like the hearts of birds. A reflective art piece created by a designer and an engineer working together to bring meaning, balance, and beauty into your space.

Bring a moment of calm, beauty, and reflection into your home with BYRD.

This handcrafted wooden sculpture is designed to rest gently on its tip, finding perfect balance wherever you place it. Each bird carries hand drawn Arabic calligraphy on its wings and is shaped with intention from natural wood.

The inspiration comes from a teaching of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that describes people entering Paradise with hearts like the hearts of birds. Hearts that rely on God with gentleness, trust, and freedom from heaviness.

This piece is more than decor. It is a reminder to pause. To breathe. To trust. To let the heart rest lightly while remaining firmly connected to its Creator.

Created through a collaboration between Ahmad, the designer and calligrapher, and Asadullah, the engineer who brought the balance to life. Each bird is carefully shaped, tested, and finished by hand. No two pieces are identical.

Join us over winter break for a fun and cozy camp! Students will take daily winter walks at Green Springs Gardens (weather permitting) and come back to the hub for nature- based, eco- friendly arts and crafts! Other activities will include fun games , creative writing and stories .

This is a great opportunity to get your child off of screens, outside , and engaged !

Camp will be lead by long time educator and nature enthusiast - sister Rima . Sister Rima is also a proud board member of the Islamic Montessori Society.
