Westlawn Elementary School

On Wednesday we welcomed new kindergarteners to Westlawn through our annual Popsicles and Playgrounds event! Our fantastic PTA sponsored the event and made sure to bring lots of ice-cold treats for new students, their siblings, and their adults! This year's fifth and sixth graders had a chance to explore different types of jobs at Career Day, featuring nurses, mechanics, builders, and more! Even Ms. Maxwell made an appearance, sharing with students about her past life as a graphic designer!

The 5th Grade Wax Museum brought many famous faces to Westlawn at the end of the year, including Stan Lee, Teddy Roosevelt, and Hedy Lamarr! Who do you see?

One of our kindergarten traditions is Water Day, which typically takes place on the fourth-to-last day of school ("W" in the Alphabet Countdown). Students have the chance to play with friends and build amazing memories in a variety of kiddie pools, splash pads, and more! We love Water Day for one reason: the pictures are always delightful! We are also delighted to share another picture as our website homepage image this summer!

Help us keep Oreos where they belong--on the faces of students and staff! Unfortunately our mentor program lost some of its funding for next year. To keep the program as robust as ever, the program sponsors created a Mentor Wish List filled with all of the things that help make the program memorable for students.
