Falls Church Arts opened its doors at 700 West Broad in February 2017 at Kensington Corner complete with with A/V services, Wi-Fi, Gallery, and Studio Arts classes. We rely on our member volunteers to help us make things happen. Opportunities include helping to set up shows, helping to keep the gallery open, serving on the group that plans events, writing for the e-newsletter, managing our member database, publicizing events, and much more.

GEOMETRIX: ARTIST TALK

Join us for an afternoon of conversation, creativity, and connection as the artists of Geometrix come together to talk about their work, processes, inspiration, and the ideas behind the exhibition.

The conversation will be guided by questions designed to open up dialogue between the artists, followed by an audience Q&A, giving you an opportunity to hear directly from the artists and ask your own questions.

There is still time to apply! Works that celebrate the expressive possibilities of water-based media-including watercolor, gouache, acrylic, tempera, inks, dyes, water-based pencil, water-based crayon, and water-miscible oils-where pigment and water merge to create works that are at once intentional and unpredictable.

Friendly Note: the theme is art created with water based mediums. Your subject matter does not have to be water or bodies of water.

Artists will be painting throughout Falls Church City August 29–September 25, capturing the city en plein air.

Join us Saturday, September 26, 9 AM–12 PM at Falls Church City Hall, 300 Park Ave. (Rain date: October 3)

✨ Free & open to the public!

Come see the artwork, vote for the People’s Choice Award, and watch artists compete in the Quick Draw Competition from 8–11 AM—open to all ages and skill levels!

His acrylic on board work, Seeking Asylum, captured the hearts of our viewers and will be on display at the Falls Church Arts Gallery through August 23, 2026.

Join instructor Sally Evans of Avenue Art Studio for a week filled with hands-on artmaking, creativity, and fun. With a background in visual ar recreation therapy, and art education through the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Sally creates an engaging and supportive environment for young artists of all learning styles, including those with special needs.
