Falls Church Arts opened its doors at 700 West Broad in February 2017 at Kensington Corner complete with with A/V services, Wi-Fi, Gallery, and Studio Arts classes. We rely on our member volunteers to help us make things happen. Opportunities include helping to set up shows, helping to keep the gallery open, serving on the group that plans events, writing for the e-newsletter, managing our member database, publicizing events, and much more.

Join us for the Falls Church Plein Air Festival, featuring local and visiting artists creating artwork on location throughout the city.

The Falls Church Arts Excellence in Art Scholarship is meant to recognize and encourage those who display an early dedication to making art. In 2026, we are offering $1,000 scholarships to a limited number of students.

The deadline for receipt of application and ALL related documents is Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Important Information:
* Complete and submit the online application form, including your artist’s statement and five images of your work.
* Ask one of your art teachers to write a recommendation based on your work or interest in advancing it.
* Ask another non-family adult to write a general recommendation, based on what they know about you, your work, your interest in art, or any efforts you have made to share your work or skills with others in your community.
* Ask your school counselor to mail an official copy of your transcript to Falls Church Arts – Attn: Scholarship Committee – PO Box 6912, Falls Church, VA 22040-6912. Your counselor may want to see the transcript request information document.

Sunday | May 24, 2026 | 1:00-4:00 pm | all levels (adults) | Sculpey polymer clay | Falls Church Arts Gallery

Join us for a 3-hour hands-on sculpting workshop with local artist Martin (Marty) Hindel,

known for creating whimsical yet realistic miniature figurines using Sculpey, a polymer-based clay medium.

In this class, participants will receive:
• An introduction to Sculpey
• A demonstration of tools and techniques
• Guided instruction throughout the sculpting process
• And you’ll leave with one finished figurine to take home!

All needed supplies will be provided and are included in the course fee.📍 Spots are limited, sign up soon!

Falls Church Arts is inviting you to an artists’ garage sale. Falls Church Arts member artists will offer their useful but unneeded tools, paints, pencils, and other materials to fellow artists and members of the public who could use them. Artists who would like participate should register for the garage sale.

Admission: Free to the public
