First pep assembly of the year πŸ’šπŸŒŠ

New faces. Fall sports. A packed gym. And a whole lot of Greenwave pride.

Yeah, we missed this. πŸ‘

Different grades. Different interests. Different stories ✨

And students just like you.

That’s what Hope Squad is all about. Students supporting students. We’re here to listen, look out for each other, and help connect you with support when you need it 🫢

This week is about connection, and we want you to know the students behind Hope Squad. Because sometimes it’s easier to reach out when you already know who’s in your corner πŸ’œπŸ©΅

Introducing the 2026–2027 CCHS Yearbook theme πŸ‘

It’s. All. A. Blur. πŸ‘€

One year. A million moments. Let’s capture them all πŸ“Έ

We’re keeping it simple.

At CCHS, the goal is to keep students coming to school, earning credits, staying on track, and ultimately crossing that stage! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ“

🏫 Come to school.
Regular attendance helps students stay connected to their classes, teachers, peers, and opportunities at CCHS.

πŸ’¬ Communicate early.
We know things happen. If attendance may become a challenge, please reach out early so we can understand what is going on and work together before absences begin impacting credit.

πŸ“š Earn credits.
If attendance does impact course credit, there is a path forward. Credit Restoration gives students opportunities to complete meaningful work and restore credit.

➑️ Stay on track.
One attendance challenge does not have to derail a student’s progress toward graduation.

πŸŽ“ Graduate.
That’s the goal, and we want to work alongside our students and families to help every Greenwave get there.

Attendance matters, but so do individual circumstances, communication, and providing students with opportunities to move forward.

Every day counts. Every student matters πŸ’š

Friday Night Lights are back! πŸ™Œ

The Greenwave will take the field for their first home football game of the season this Friday night against Truckee, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. at the Edward Arciniega Athletic Complex.

As we get ready for our first Friday night under the lights, we wanted to take a moment to remind our Greenwave families, students, and community of a few expectations when attending CCHS athletic events.

CCHS Athletic Event Expectations:

CCHS athletic events are an important part of the Greenwave Experience and a chance for our community to come together, support our student-athletes, and enjoy the game.

To help keep our athletic events safe and enjoyable, children who are not yet high school age must be accompanied and supervised by an adult for the duration of the event. They will not be admitted without an adult and should not be dropped off or left unattended.

All children and students attending athletic events are expected to remain in designated spectator areas. They may not roam the facilities, adjacent grass fields, or parking lots. Anyone engaging in unsafe or disruptive behavior or failing to follow event expectations may be removed from the event. CCHS staff cannot assume responsibility for supervising children or students who have been removed.

CCHS has also added security cameras around our athletic facilities, with additional lighting behind the stadium coming soon. These measures will help us monitor and respond to unsafe behavior.

Our fans are here to watch the game, cheer on our athletes, and enjoy the Greenwave Experience. Thank you for helping us keep our events safe, positive, and focused on our students.

We can't wait to see you under the Friday night lights! Go Greenwave! πŸ’šπŸˆ

Outstanding job to Senior Class President Maliah Harris for putting together such a memorable morning for her class! πŸ™Œ

The first of many memories for our seniors! πŸŽ“βœ¨
