La Paloma is a K-6 school that is located in Fallbrook, California. Our supportive atmosphere and caring staff have contributed to the successes as one of California's Distinguished Schools. The Fallbrook Union Elementary School District serves a kindergarten through eighth grade student population at nine school sites. FUESD Social Media Expectations

COMMUNITY EVENT

Join the Fallbrook community for a special Day of the Dead celebration on Sunday, November 1, from 12:00–5:00 p.m. at the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery, 1177 Santa Margarita Drive.

The community gathering will feature music, folkloric dance, lowriders, and children’s activities. Families are encouraged to bring a dish to share for the potluck, their own chair, and a photocopy of a loved one to place on the community altar.

We invite our families to come together and celebrate this meaningful community tradition.

Heat Advisory: October 2–8

The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for our area from Friday, October 2, at 10:00 a.m. through Thursday, October 8, at 8:00 p.m.

FUESD continues to prioritize the health and safety of our students and will follow guidance from the California Department of Public Health. During periods of excessive heat, schools will limit outdoor play and strenuous physical activities as needed. Students will also be encouraged to stay hydrated throughout the school day.

We will continue to monitor weather conditions closely and make adjustments as necessary to help keep students and staff safe. We will communicate any additional updates if conditions or school operations are affected.

La Paloma Elementary celebrated Start With Hello Week with a special Leadership Assembly focused on Respect.

Students came together to learn about the importance of showing respect through their words, actions, and everyday choices. The assembly reinforced how kindness, inclusion, and respect help create a school community where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and connected.

It was a meaningful way for La Paloma students to continue building strong leadership skills while celebrating the spirit of Start With Hello Week.

La Escuela Primaria La Paloma celebró Start With Hello Week con una Asamblea de Liderazgo especial enfocada en el valor del respeto.

Los estudiantes se reunieron para aprender sobre la importancia de demostrar respeto a través de sus palabras, acciones y decisiones diarias. La asamblea reforzó cómo la amabilidad, la inclusión y el respeto ayudan a crear una comunidad escolar donde todos se sientan bienvenidos, valorados y conectados.

La Paloma Elementary welcomed students and families for a wonderful Back to School Night hosted by Principal Aimee Plette!

Students proudly showed their families around campus, while parents connected with teachers and got a closer look at what the 2026–27 school year will bring.

It was a great evening of smiles, connection, and La Paloma pride!

San Diego County has issued a heat advisory from Tuesday, August 25, at 10:00 a.m. through Friday, August 28, at 8:00 p.m. FUESD is prioritizing the health and safety of our students and will be following the guidelines from the California Department of Public Health. We will be limiting outside play and suspending any strenuous physical activities until temperatures return to a safe level. Additionally, we will be encouraging students to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Just before the start of the new school year, La Paloma Elementary opened its doors to parents and families for a special Meet and Greet. The well-attended event gave families an opportunity to meet staff and new teachers, reconnect with the school community, and get a glimpse of what students can look forward to this year.

The celebration also featured a lively dance performance and welcoming remarks from Principal Aimee Plette, helping set an exciting and positive tone for the year ahead.

La Paloma is ready for another wonderful year of learning, growth, and community!

Justo antes del inicio del nuevo año escolar, la Escuela Primaria La Paloma abrió sus puertas a padres y familias para un evento especial de bienvenida. Esta concurrida celebración brindó a las familias la oportunidad de conocer al personal y a los nuevos maestros, reconectarse con la comunidad escolar y tener un pequeño vistazo de lo que los estudiantes podrán disfrutar durante este año.
