What a busy and fun day yesterday was.💙

I started at the Shear Genius Back to School Backpack Giveaway, and stopped by the VFW Backpack Drive. 🎒 After that, it was off to Bike Day at Vanson, then ended at the Nite Owl block party 🦉

Even with the rain earlier in the day, people still came out, showed up, and supported these great community events. By the time we got to the Nite Owl event, the sun was shining. ☀️

I saw so many familiar faces and had some great conversations throughout the day. So many students got backpacks and supplies, I'm so grateful. I always enjoy getting out into the community, supporting local organizations, and seeing so many people come together for Fall River. 💙

There is only a few days before FRPS students go back to school. What other events are you doing before school starts?

Today I stopped by the LivActive Backpack Drive with Ricky Tith! 🎒💙

It was a great afternoon of food, conversation, and community. I also had the opportunity to tour LivActive’s new facility, an adult day health center that will be opening here in Fall River next month.

I always enjoy getting out into the community, meeting people, and learning more about the resources coming to our city. Thank you to everyone at LivActive for having us!
