Welcome to the Robotics Lab!

A new space already raising the innovation bar for Diman students! The Electronics Engineering Robotics Lab now offers a permanent home to test and tweak builds while preparing for upcoming VEX Robotics competitions and so much more.

Previously, the shop had to clear out space whenever they needed to set up a robotics arena, a major hurdle in the old facility. Now, this dedicated lab fosters innovation, collaboration, and hands-on learning every single day.

We're so excited to see how the new space transform the shop!

Thank you, MassDOT for inspiring and introducing the next generation of road construction workers right here at Diman!

This week, juniors and seniors from across our trade shops participated in the MassDOT Pre-Apprenticeship Program. They learned about opportunities in road construction, heavy civil engineering, and the skilled trades. They even got CPR, First aid, and AED certified!

The Massachusetts Pre-Apprenticeship and Vocational School Training Program is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and delivered in partnership with the New England Laborers’ Training Trust Fund.

Congratulations Bengal!

Congratulations to Averie, our Technician of the Month!

Averie’s commitment, dedication, and eagerness to learn are just a few of the reasons she earned this recognition. She joined us from Diman Vocational eager to learn and apply her skills. Even as a part-time employee, Averie consistently asked for more work and hours so she could gain more hands-on experience.

She also regularly offered to help other technicians with repairs, handled electronic module work promptly, and stepped up during staffing challenges to help reduce wait times and get our customers’ vehicles in sooner.

For Averie, being recognized as Technician of the Month means a lot: “I’ve been putting a lot of effort into learning and doing the best I can, so being recognized for that is really meaningful to me. I’d say my favorite part is the environment. Everyone here is really welcoming and I feel like I can be myself while I’m working. Everyone is willing to help each other out.”

We’re proud to have Averie on the team and excited to see all she continues to accomplish! Congratulations, Averie!

We’re digging pink this Friday for one of our own! 🩷

The Girls Volleyball team invites our Diman community to our annual "Dig Pink" night this Friday as they take on Southeastern Regional.

This year, we are raising funds to support Norah Marchand, a member of last year's JV squad, as she goes through chemotherapy.

Wear your pink, support a great cause, and help us pack the gym! JV takes the court at 3:30 pm, and Varsity starts at 5:30 pm.

October is National Principal’s Month, and meet Principal Warley Williams, Diman’s new principal, who has hit the ground running this year!

Navigating a new school can be a challenging project for a new leader, let alone navigating a brand-new building on top of that. Principal Williams has risen to the challenge remarkably!

Principal Williams is deeply passionate about vocational education. With 16 years of vocational education leadership under his belt, and as the Chair of the Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators, he brings both passion and immense experience to Diman. He is currently working on his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at UMass Dartmouth, with a focus on advancing teacher leadership and instruction in the classroom.

At his core, he believes in supporting every student learner, especially those who struggle the most, and inspiring students to believe in themselves and their future. Outside of school, he’s dedicated to his loving wife and children.

So much room for collaboration!

We're loving our new spaces, and we're now able to do things that were physically impractical in the old Diman. Last week, Business Management and Finance students participated in an innovative banking simulation, a first time experience for the group.

Thanks to the new collaboration space designed into the shop, sophomores were able to practice checking deposits and withdrawal procedures, and provide customer service to freshman exploratory students, who were also learning about writing checks and balancing checkbooks.

A big win for collaborative education!

Our diversity is part of what makes Diman special. While our backgrounds may be different, we learn together, grow together, and continue building a school community where everyone belongs.

Our success in the shops and classrooms doesn't happen in a silo. Without dedicated industry professionals in our Advisory Board, we wouldn't be where we are today!

Last night, Diman welcomed over 450 guests to our first Advisory Board meeting at the new school. Our advisory board plays a critical role in helping Diman remain current, innovative, and responsive to the needs of our students and the industries we serve.

Moments like today in our metal fabrication shop, where students build hands-on skills every day, are made possible by this kind of industry support.

Three weeks later, there is lots of progress on the demolition of the old Diman! Now, the new Diman is fully visible.

Crews are making great progress removing the old building. Today, the foundation of Room 251 and cafeteria remains, and crews began taking down walls in the A and C wings, making way for future athletic fields, additional parking, and a new driveway.

It won't be long now until the entire school is removed.
