🌟 Meet the Newest Member of Our Team! 🌟

We're excited to introduce the amazing staff joining the Fall Creek School District this year! Today, we're thrilled to welcome Lara Spencer, a special education aide at the elementary school.

Take a moment to get to know Lara:

Hometown: Franksville, WI, but has lived in Fall Creek for the last 14 years
College/Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from UWEC, Master's Degree in Chemistry from UW-Madison

"My family moved to Fall Creek 14 years ago from the Madison area. My husband works for Eau Claire Fire and Rescue. My two oldest children, Sammi and Nate, graduated from Fall Creek in 2022 and 2026. Sammi is currently attending medical school in Milwaukee, and Nate is playing junior hockey in Wausau. I currently have a high school Freshman, Danny, and a first grader, Allie, still attending Fall Creek.

I spend most of my free time watching my children's sporting events. Our family particularly spends a lot of time at hockey rinks.

I am excited to be part of the Cricket family and get to work with all the wonderful staff my children have talked about throughout the years, as well as all the new staff also joining the Cricket Family."

Words have power. Choose them with kindness. 🫶

Third graders learned just how true that is with a hands-on toothpaste activity. Students squeezed toothpaste onto a heart and then faced a tricky challenge: trying to put it back into the tube.

Just like the toothpaste, words can’t be taken back once they’re out. It was a simple lesson with an important message to carry throughout the school year. ❤️

Fourth grade is off to a great start! 📚

Students kicked off the school year with some reflection, creativity, and a little challenge. Around the campfire, they shared and got to know one another as they began building their classroom community.

Then came a fun challenge! Students were given just one piece of construction paper and tasked with creating the longest chain possible. 🔗✂️

Our fourth graders are already making the most of their new school year!
