💚🖤 WHAT AN AMAZING FIRST DAY AT FJHS! 🖤💚

Our 2026–2027 school year is officially underway, and what a GREAT way to start the year! The excitement and Jersey Pride could be felt from the moment our students arrived on campus this morning! 🐂💚

Our FJHS Cheerleaders were there bright and early to welcome our students back and help set the tone for an awesome first day! 📣💚 We then kicked off the morning with a small Welcome Back Rally to bring everyone together and get our students excited for the year ahead!

We were also honored to have our Superintendent, Dr. Vela, address our students and remind them that “the world awaits them!” 🌎✨ What a powerful message to begin a brand-new school year! Our students have so much potential, and we cannot wait to see where this year takes them.

And the learning started from DAY ONE! 📚 In some of these pictures, students were using clues to try and figure out who their Reading teacher is as a person. What they didn’t realize is that they were already inferring, making predictions, and using evidence… all while getting to know their teacher! 🤣 That’s learning without even realizing you’re learning!

A HUGE THANK YOU to our incredible teachers and staff for all of the preparation, patience, teamwork, and love that went into making today run so smoothly. It truly takes ALL of us, and today would not have been the success it was without each and every one of you! 🫶🏼

To our students, WELCOME BACK! We are so happy to have our hallways filled with your energy again. And to our parents and families, thank you for trusting us with your children and partnering with us for another successful year.

Day 1 is officially in the books! ✅ If today is any indication of what is ahead, FJHS is in for an AMAZING year!

What an AMAZING turnout at our Falfurrias Junior High School Meet the Teacher Night! 💚🖤

We were excited to welcome over 125 families to campus as they picked up schedules, met their teachers, and got ready for an incredible school year.

Thank you to every student, parent, and family member who took the time to join us tonight. Your support and involvement mean so much to our campus. The relationships we build between our teachers, students, and parents are the foundation of a successful school year. Together, we are creating a strong school community where every student has the opportunity to grow, learn, and succeed.

If you weren’t able to attend Meet the Teacher Night, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered! We have attached the important changes and updates for the upcoming school year so you and your student know what to expect at Falfurrias Junior High School. Please take a few minutes to review the information carefully, as it includes updates regarding morning drop-off, breakfast procedures, cell phone expectations, and dismissal.

What an amazing Community Walk! 💚🖤

We had such a great time bonding as a team while welcoming our students and their families back for another exciting school year. It was wonderful connecting with our community, and we can’t wait to see everyone back on campus!

A HUGE thank you to Nexion/Gulf Shores Rehabilitation for providing water and cupcakes. Your generosity was truly appreciated, especially when you saw our staff out walking in the Texas heat. Your support means so much to our campus!
