Building early reading skills at Falcon Pre-K!

In this activity, our student is working with CVC words like cat, pet, ram, and car. He listens for the beginning, middle, and ending sounds, then uses letter stamps to build the word.

Since fine motor skills are still developing at this age, using stamps allows children to focus on connecting sounds to letters without the frustration of handwriting.

This hands-on, multisensory approach helps the brain make strong connections that support future reading and writing success.

Strong foundations today, confident learners tomorrow.

Listening for beginning sounds at Falcon Pre-K!

In this activity, our student looks at a picture (like a cat) and identifies the beginning sound she hears — /t/. She then selects the correct letter piece and fits it into place like a puzzle. If the sound-letter match is correct, it clicks right in!

This hands-on approach helps children focus on sound recognition without the pressure of handwriting, building strong foundations for reading and spelling.
