The leadership of our Puster GEICO (Guiding Coalition) team is instrumental in developing and maintaining the culture of our campus and in leading our staff and students on the quest for excellence! *Not pictured Shannon P., 3rd Grade and Susan D., Counselor.* ♥️ 🐾

Many teams have been finding time this summer to get together and connect/reconnect. This second grade team is bringing all the E's to the table: expertise, energy and enthusiasm! We can't wait to get you introduced soon! 🐆 ♥️ 🐾

Our kinder team conducted screeners with our littlest leopards this week! Don't worry if you weren't able to attend - we will catch up when school starts. We ♥️ Kinder!🐆 ♥️ 🐾

I will be sharing news and staffing updates with our community soon! The excitement and enthusiasm of a new-to-teaching teacher never ceases to amaze me.

FYI:

This summer, we have three staff members attending sessions and working to obtain their National Board Certification. 👏🏼

We have one staff member working on her doctorate. 👏🏼

We have three teachers completing assessments to obtain certification after choosing different careers initially- lucky us they landed on teaching! 👏🏼

I heard a new to Puster teacher coming from another district say “this is so amazing” after touring our building. She said “I have so many resources!” 👏🏼

I have a teacher, who is working a summer job elsewhere, who shared this pic with me. She’s been saving her paychecks to decorate her first classroom with her first group of kids. 😭 👏🏼 She isn’t the only one. We have three staff memebers who moved here from out of town/state this summer and they are already working on putting their rooms together. 👏🏼

I had a veteran teacher text me this week that she has a plan for a beginning of year treat for our Puster staff. Talk about building culture! 👏🏼

I’m SO PROUD of our team and the work that is already being done to be the BEST we can be for our students!

Today, LISD celebrated all of our service award recipients, played some yard games, won some prizes, enjoyed great food and even better company!

The last day of school was so special for our 4th graders! They rode in in style with a car parade to start the day. Graduation was super memorable and the final walk was bittersweet! We wish all of our Puster graduates an amazing future at Sloan Creek!

We LOVED having our seniors back on campus for Senior Breakfast this morning. ❤️

Thank you for your donation to our Denim and Diamonds auction! Our 1/2 day principal, 1/2 day assistant principal and 1/2 day counselor did an amazing job! We held important meetings, recorded announcements, hosted campus tours, and made important decisions. We also called Fairview dispatch when the cows came to visit again. It was an eventful morning and we were glad to have some extra help! 🙌🏻 ♥️ 🐾

Congratulations to Carmen Safstrom and Manny Gonzalez, our PTO Outstanding Service Award recipients! Their dedication to service and contributions to our Puster community have been profound and we are so thankful for both of them! ♥️ 🐾 ♥️ 🐾

It was the perfect day in every way! Thank you to all of our parent volunteers and teachers for monitoring students and keeping each activity fair and fun. Thank you to our office staff for navigating the check-in/check-out chaos while maintaining our safety standards. HUGE thank you to Coach Hill for the stellar organization and prep. Field Day 2024 was one for the books!

Next week we celebrate the retirement of Mrs. Chris Michaels, Instructional Aide. Chris has served in the district for 15 years. She has provided patience, love, nurturing and support to so many students during that time. What an amazing impact she's had on so many! If you have worked with "Miss Chris" or she has served your child, we invite you stop by Puster on 5/16 anytime from 3:30-4:30 to wish her well.

Only in Fairview, TX will you have Bertha and Greta trying to hang out at school. They had a party down Stoddard then later made their way through the carline drive headed to play on the playground. Thank goodness for Officer Emory! He steered them back to safety both times! ♥️ 🐮 ♥️ 🐄

Our Puster Special Olympics team had an amazing send off today and went on to compete well in track and field events. We are of you! ♥️ 🐾 ♥️ 🐾
