🌹 2026 FCCLA STATE CONVENTION🌹

What an amazing group of students! Fairview- be so proud of how these kids represented our school & community!

A special Shout Out to my Seniors:

Kylie Prickett- this Queen “gets it done.” She is no nonsense & I love it.
Ashlyn Hammer - led a Bible Study after dinner & is wise beyond her years.
Josie Laverty - makes everything fun & is ALWAYS smiling. She lifts me up, supports me & does anything I ask…. with a smile.
Gatlin Gillum - THIRD PLACE in Fashion Design Level 3. This King does everything with grace, dignity & courage. He too, is wise beyond his years.
Nevaeh Mello - THIRD PLACE in Fashion Design Level 3. This girl anticipates my needs and literally reads my mind. A natural leader.
Leslie Helms - FIRST PLACE in Teach or Train Level 3 & advancing to Nationals in Washington D.C. 🥳 She’s awe-inspiring & did it ALL on her own.

So many friends and advisors were shocked when I told them I brought 30 students. Then I told them about “my seniors.” Every. Single. Time I bragged on them, they were in the midst of a leadership moment. I would just stand back and let their leadership speak for itself. It’s the BEST feeling, & it has been the BEST time with the BEST students.

Harley Kinkade placed 3rd in Fashion Construction as a first-time competitor! This is a huge achievement.

Did you know FCCLA has over 28,000 members in Oklahoma?? The competition was 🔥 fierce 🔥 & Fairview represented well!

Fairview FCCLA Chapter received the GOLD CHAPTER OF EXCELLENCE AWARD!

Last but certainly not least, thank you to everyone who helped get these students where they needed to be! Curtis Smith drove the 71 passenger bus around Tulsa like the pro he is! David Owens got our amazing Band kids from Ada to Tulsa, then the zoo & home. Mattie Wilson drove our Softball girls home early for the game. It truly takes a village and Fairview is the best!

Hello my name is Elizabeth Sutter & I am a new student at Fairview High. I'm a sophomore in FCCLA & serve as the vice president of community service. This month I've competed at the regional level in the STA event, “Repurpose & Redesign” and qualified for state! I'm hoping to move on to nationals. I've designed and constructed a "funky chair," which is crafted from upcycled tires and all repurposed materials. The seating area is thoughtfully woven using colorful yarn and paracord, resulting in a vibrant and comfortable surface. The use of vibrant colors and intricate weaving patterns adds character to the chair. The goal of this project is to combine sustainability with artistic expression, producing a piece of furniture that is both environmentally conscious and visually striking.

🚌 Student Spirit Bus Option for State Tournament

We are exploring the option of taking a Spirit Bus for HIGH SCHOOL students to attend the game.

Students who would like to ride the bus will need to bring money for the bus and a meal. The bus would take students to the game and back.

If you ride the Spirit Bus, your game ticket has already been paid for thanks to generous patrons of the Fairview community. 🧡🖤

📋 Sign-Up Information
A sign-up sheet is posted on the front office door for students interested in riding the bus.

⏰ Deadline
We would like to make a final decision by tomorrow, so students need to sign up today or first thing Wednesday morning before school.

Please note that this plan is dependent on securing a bus driver, sponsors, and enough student interest.

Our hearts are incredibly heavy as we mourn the loss of two very special people, Jodie and Lexi.

Jodie was so much more than a parent who helped our chapter—she was truly our FCCLA mom. She showed up whenever we needed her, always ready to help, encourage our students, and support the work we do in FCCLA. Her kindness, generosity, and the way she cared for our students made such a difference. She embodied what FCCLA stands for. Our chapter simply won’t be the same without her welcoming smile.

Lexi was just as sweet as could be and brought so much light to those around her. She will be deeply missed by her friends, classmates, and our entire school community.

Our hearts especially ache for Zander and the rest of this sweet family. Zander is such a valued member of our FCCLA family, and we will continue to surround him with love and support in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

Jodie and Lexi touched so many lives, and their kindness, love & warm smiles will never be forgotten. Please keep the Owens Family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Fairview FCCLA is embracing Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by raising money for Toby Keith's Kid Korral! If students raise over $500, Mr. Haworth gets duct taped to the wall! Yesterday, FCCLA members spent the morning cleaning the Korral! We brought home some dress up clothes from the play room to sew a few rips. We'll mail back the costumes and hope to include a nice cash donation as well!
