Students in room 301 are exploring the world of science using a variety of scientific tools! From magnifying glasses and measuring tapes to UV lights, graduated cylinders, thermometers, and measuring spoons, students are building their scientific skills through hands-on exploration and discovery. 🌡️📏🧫

Our students at Lincoln School Annex had an exciting and educational experience celebrating Fire Safety Week!

Our local firefighters visited our school to share an important presentation on fire safety and prevention. Students also had the opportunity to see the fire truck up close and learn about the important tools and equipment firefighters use to keep our community safe.

A huge THANK YOU to our firefighters for taking the time to teach our youngest learners valuable lessons about fire safety and for being our everyday heroes!

Our kindergarten students had a wonderful opportunity to welcome Veolia Water to our classrooms! 💙 Through this special visit, our students learned about the importance of water, how we use it every day, and why it is so important to protect and conserve this valuable resource.

🗺️ Exploring History in 4th Grade! 📚

Mrs. May’s 4th grade students traveled back in time as they learned about Lewis and Clark’s Expedition! Students explored the journey west following the Louisiana Purchase from France and the expedition’s search for a water route connecting the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean.

Our 4th graders practiced reading, historical thinking, and making connections while putting themselves in the shoes of explorers from the past! 🗺️📖✨

Our Kindergarten students in Ms. Weston's class practiced the letter sounds they've been learning in CKLA
with the game Picky Goblins! The students had so much fun and did a great job!

CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts) is our new comprehensive literacy curriculum! CKLA provides students with strong, research-based foundational reading skills while building vocabulary, knowledge, comprehension, and a love of learning.

We look forward to partnering with our families as we help our students become confident, capable, and enthusiastic readers!
