Great turnout last night and nice to see Jim Alexandrou and Geoff Toney take the “call out” like men and show up!

Looking for suggestions on what else we can do, places to meet and any other thoughts on how we keep this going. We all have busy schedules and lives, but once we get together it’s really a good time. How else do you learn about how Brian McGunagle and Jeff Hartzell got sprayed by a skunk and watched a Browns game through a window while standing in the flower bed outside of Mike Flowers house.

Merry Christmas all.

On Monday, St. Edward senior football players Ben Roebuck, Deonte Armstrong and Devonte Armstrong participated in the US Army Bowl in The Ford Center at The Star, home of the Dallas Cowboys. This was a showcase of the best high school football players in the country. I went down to host an alumni event prior to the game, and was able to connect with our very own Tony Anzovino!

Last night’s Class of 1985 Happy Hour was not only a great time, but so many new faces!! We had 9 first time attendees! Shout out to Chuck Kintner, Tom Callahan, Dave Crisafi, Jim Stanton, John Poulis, Dave Gould, Tim Kolman, Dan Eynon and Mike Molek!
Hope to keep building the group and welcoming back more classmates to the event. Out of town guys, let me know if you are coming into Cleveland and we’ll plan on something around your schedule.
Also found out last night that Greg Bowers will be moving to North Carolina for a new job with the state lottery, best of luck Greg!

Wings Auction 2023, “Did Someone Say Road Trip?” was an incredible success for St. Edward High School. This amazing community raised $1,095,940 NET dollars to support need-based financial aid for the young men and their families who seek a Catholic education.
This year was extra special as our St. Ed’s classmates were the event co-chairs of the event. Laura & Bob Dezort '85 and Kathy & Bob Dobrowsky '85 led an amazing effort and broke several records in the process. Most dollars raised ($1,095,940), largest live auction ($140,700) and largest fund-a-need ($333,000). They also did a Wings Auction first and that was to ask our class to lead the fund-a-need effort with the first ever class gift. The Class of 1985 responded and presented a check for $30,000 to get things started.
The Class of 1985 was represented by 14 of us at the event. A very special thank you to those in the class who made gifts to help raise the $30,000 and support St. Ed’s every day. A special thanks to a couple guys who really helped out throughout the last few months... Dave Zentkovich and Phil Singh who introduced us to some great auction items. Tom Dee for helping turn the hallway into Route 66.
