IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear Parents, This letter is to notify you that an individual associated with our program has tested positive for COVID-19. We are keeping this person in our thoughts and prayers and are hoping they have a speedy recovery.

In accordance with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) regulations, our program has reported this information to ODJFS and to our local health department.

We are working with the health department and are taking all recommended steps to ensure the safety of our children and staff. Rapid COVID testing is recommended and results must be reported to the center.

Eden Academy will be closed this upcoming week for deep cleaning and sanitization. The center will resume its normal operating hours on Monday 27th 2021, billing for the week of 9/20/21 will be put on hold until the following week. Parents who paid for this upcoming week will receive a one week attendance credit in the form of a coupon that can be used as payment for the following week.

Steps we are implementing in cooperation with the local health department and/or the Ohio Department of Health and CDC guidelines include:

· Masks shall be worn at all times upon entering the facility by all parents, teachers and children ages 5 and up.

· Surfaces and objects that are frequently touched, especially toys and games as well as doorknobs, light switches, classroom sink handles, countertops, nap pads, toilets, desks, chairs, cubbies, and play structures will be deep cleansed on a rotating 3-hour schedule and spot cleaned as used throughout the day.

· Toys will be disinfected at the end of each day. The process will be as follows; scrubbed with detergent, rinsed, sanitized with an EPA-registered disinfectant, rinsed again, and air-dried.

· Toys that children have placed in their mouths or that are otherwise contaminated by body secretions or excretions during the day shall be set aside until they are cleaned by hand by a member of our staff.

Goodbye August!

We hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! Normal business hours will resume tomorrow, our Mon + Tue children are welcome to finish out the week with us. Please let me know by email if you’d like their normal time extended which we can accommodate.

Invoices have been sent out and rates have been fixed for those who normally attend full time to account for these shortened two weeks.

We greatly appreciate your cooperation and support during this time, our staff members also send their thanks for giving them this opportunity to spend time with family and friends.
