Urban-Suburban Program The Urban-Suburban Program is the nation's first and oldest desegregation program. It was established in 1965.

The following districts participate in Urban-Suburban: Brighton, Brockport, Fairport, Penfield, Pittsford, West Irondequoit, Wheatland Chili

🌟 A leader in the making 🌟

East Ridge High School freshman Jada Matthews attended the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) Mid-Year Training Institute this month.

The conference in Orlando gave students the opportunity to build leadership skills while collaborating and learning about topics including substance use prevention, prevention education, and mental health.

Jada attended the conference with Uplift Irondequoit.

🌟 Before they crossed the stage at graduation, Urban-Suburban seniors came together one last time as a class to celebrate their journey and hear from those who walked a similar path before them.

🌟 The Urban-Suburban Legacy Night: Senior Celebration brought students and alumni together for an evening centered on connection, reflection, and looking ahead to what comes next. Alumni shared their experiences, advice, and encouragement as seniors prepared for their next chapter.

One of the end-of-year traditions we love to see is the senior parades our partner districts organize for graduating students.

Brighton recently shared photos from its senior parade, and we were excited to spot Urban-Suburban graduates Austin Scott, Asmara Gonzalez-Cotto, and Jamyla Lewis along the route!
