Excellence in action ๐Ÿ’ช

Mia H, in our Emergency Services program, achieved a perfect score for CPR compressions!

Last week, students at Villa of Hope School had the opportunity to participate in hands-on CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) instruction, gaining valuable lifesaving skills that could one day help save a life.

Senior Mia Hill, who is currently enrolled in the Eastern Monroe Career Center (EMCC) EMT Program, earned a perfect score of 100% on her CPR compressions. According to instructors from the Barnard Fire Department in Greece, NY, this is an accomplishment they have never seen before.

Providing students with real-world experiences like this is a cornerstone of Villa's Work-Based Learning and Community Development Program. Beyond preparing students for future careers, these experiences help build confidence, responsibility, and the skills needed to make a positive impact in their communities.

A sincere thank you to Dean and John of the Barnard Professional Firefighters Local 4030 for investing their time and expertise in our students. Their commitment to community education has equipped our students with knowledge that could truly make a difference when every second counts.

One of the things that makes Teens & Tots Preschool unique?

Children learn with two adult teachers plus several EMCC high school students preparing for careers in education.

That means more individual attention, more helping hands during activities, and even more opportunities to build friendships and confidence.

Enrollment is open now for the 2026-27 school year. Help us spread the word!
