Today, we celebrate Miss Rhoda- she has been with Sunbeam for the last 25 years! She earned her Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist Credential in 2003 and continues her growth with STARS training hours. She is the first to sign up for training that she feels will benefit the children. She recently completed 24 credit hours of “Mind in the Making” training that focused on Ellen Galinsky’s research and focuses on the science of child development to build seven essential executive function-based life skills. She works hard to make all children feel safe and loved while in her care and at Sunbeam. She values relationships and hard work- she is also a mentor teacher to new employes so that the legacy of Sunbeam continues. We are grateful for her leadership and commitment. She truly believes that if you plant the seed, it will grow and “her children” are proof of that over the years. Thank you, Miss Rhoda, for continuing to learn so you can be the best you can be for our children, staff, and families.
