Local pole vaulters, and additional athletes from around the country, made Fairmont their proving ground on Saturday as they worked to improve themselves at Vault the Plaza, which took place on downtown Fairmont.

VAULT THE PLAZA - TOMORROW!!

If you’re free tomorrow, these FIVE pole vaulters will be vaulting somewhere special! 👀 Downtown Fairmont will be transformed into a pole vaulting showcase starting at 9:30 am and continuing throughout the day.

Fairmont Track and Field athletes Jase Meade and Ellie Perkins completed their participation in this year’s Nike Outdoor Nationals and USATF U20 Championships on Friday and Saturday in Eugene, Oregon’s Hayward Field. Both athletes were in the Pole Vault Emerging Elite competitions.

YOUTH TRACK AND FIELD CAMP!

So much fun this week hosting incoming 4th-7th graders at the track to show them some track and field basics. We ended with a “mini meet” and had a great crowd of spectators! Thank you to our volunteer athletes and coaches! 👏
