Founder Shuji Maruyama Sensei (master of Aikido and direct student of Morihei Ueshiba O’Sensei) introduced his Kokikai style of Aikido to Philadelphia students in the late 1960s. Since that time, his teachings have spread to major
dojos in 17 States in the US, Australia, Canada, Israel, and Japan, but our region remains the geographical center of the art. Camps
Each year, hundreds of students from these schools travel to our area to learn from Shuji Maruyama Sensei and attend our summer and winter camps. As a result, students have a special opportunity to practice with fellow Aikido practitioners from throughout the country. FREE 1 week classes for New Students
Every night is beginners’ night. Just wear loose fitting clothing to start Aikido Kokikai of Bucks County.
