Coastal Alabama Community College Simulation Program Seeking to prepare all learners to be competent in providing safe patient care in the community.

Fully accredited since 2023 in teaching and education through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. The Coastal Alabama Community College Simulation Program offers simulation learning opportunities for nursing and allied health students in two locations - Atmore and Fairhope. In addition, we work closely with stakeholders within our various communities to provide robust simulation experiences

for them. Our Program is also proud to be the first Simulation Program in the Alabama Community College System to achieve Full Accreditation in Teaching and Education through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.

Today, some of our senior nursing students jumped in to help get everything set up for Pediatric Boot Camp, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their help!

🦌🩺 We had a very special visitor yesterday at Critical Care Boot Camp!

This little spotted fawn stopped by to say hello while we were busy preparing future nurses and respiratory therapists for the ER and ICU. ❤️

Today we wrapped up Critical Care Boot Camp on the Atmore campus with our senior nursing and respiratory therapy students. This two day event is a great way to kick off each semester and help set our students up for success. 💪🏼

Each morning, college administrators started the group out with incredible motivations. Then, teams rotated through 12 different advanced stations, including EKGs 🫀, hemodynamics 📈, airway management 🗣️, critical care medications💉, ABGs and chest tubes ⚖️, ventilators 🫁 , trauma🚨, skills🩺, pediatrics 👶🏼, HROB and NICU 🤰, and neurologic emergencies 🧠. In addition, all 140+ students earned their official Stop The Bleed ACS 🩸certification.

We were sometimes hot 🥵, dodged a bit of bad weather⛈️, and heard an inspirational message from our own Coastal Alabama Community College nursing alumna, Delanie Quinnelly. 💜 It was a great event. 🥰
