Senior Spotlight | Ella Scism

Ella Scism has attended Bayshore Christian School for 8 years and plans to attend Samford University to major in Nursing with a minor in Spanish. Ella attends Mars Hill Church in Fairhope and has been a member for 8 years. While at BCS, she competed in cheer for 3 years and earned numerous honors, including Most Growth in Cheer, Department Awards in Spanish and Theatre, the Female House Leadership Award, and 1st Place in Auburn’s Team MaPP Competition in 2024 and 2026. Ella also served as Ignis House Prefect, Ignis House Captain, and School Ambassador. She has been heavily involved in Bayshore Theater, Mu Alpha Theta, children’s ministry, youth group, and the NextGen Docs Medical Internship Program at Thomas Hospital. Ella enjoys theatre, reading, music, traveling, coffee, and spending time with friends, and her favorite Bible verse is Revelation 21:3-4. Ella shared that she is grateful for the teachers, friendships, memories, and spiritual growth she experienced during her years at Bayshore.

Senior Spotlight | Micah Weaver

Micah Weaver has attended Bayshore Christian School for 3 years and plans to attend the University of Mobile to pursue a master’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Science while allowing the Lord to guide his future. Micah attends 3Circle Church in Fairhope and has been a member for 2 years. While at BCS, he competed in basketball, football, and bowling, and was involved in the Robotics Club. Micah enjoys fishing, reading, spending time with family, and collecting Pokémon cards, and his favorite Bible verse is John 3:16. Micah shared that Bayshore has been one of the best schools he has attended and that he is especially thankful for the friendships and kindness he experienced during his time at BCS.

Senior Spotlight | Tate Olsen

Tate Olsen has attended Bayshore Christian School for 4 years and plans to attend Highlands College to study Global Ministry with a minor in Worship Ministry as he pursues full-time vocational ministry. Tate attends Church of the Highlands and has been part of the church for 12 years. While at BCS, he competed in football, basketball, baseball, and golf and served as FCA President, Ignis House Leader, and football captain. Tate is also involved in youth ministry. He enjoys playing piano, guitar, and golf, and his favorite Bible verse is 2 Timothy 2:20-21.

Senior Spotlight | Bria Pierce

Bria Pierce has attended Bayshore Christian School for 13 years and plans to attend Coastal Alabama Community College to study Marketing and Design. Bria attends Mars Hill Church and has been part of the church for 12 years. While at BCS, she competed in volleyball for 6 years, softball for 4 years, and bowling for 1 year. Bria received the Service Hour Award and Volleyball Light Award and served as Fine Arts Prefect. She was also involved in Prodisee Pantry and the church children’s ministry. Bria enjoys spending time with friends, reading, volleyball, being outside, and art, and her favorite Bible verse is John 14:27. Bria shared that she is grateful for the Christ-centered education, relationships, and growth she experienced at Bayshore and feels better prepared for the next phase of life because of her time at BCS.

Senior Spotlight | Evan Pursley

Evan Pursley has attended Bayshore Christian School his entire school career and plans to attend the University of Miami's Cox School of Business to study Finance. Evan attends St. Francis at the Point Anglican Church and has been part of the church for 4 years. While at BCS, he competed in golf from 10th-12th grade and baseball from 7th-9th grade. Evan earned All A Honors and served as President of Mu Alpha Theta, founder of the Investing Club, and Colloquy Leader during the 2024-2025 school year. He was also involved in the fencing club and chapel band. Evan enjoys golf, going to the gym, and sports cars, and his favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11.

Senior Spotlight | Bryson Scarberry

Bryson Scarberry has attended Bayshore Christian School for 6 years and plans to attend Auburn University to study Architecture. Bryson attends Faith Family Fellowship. While at BCS, he competed in baseball for 3 years and golf for 2 years and was awarded the Spirit of Auburn Founders Scholarship. Bryson enjoys writing, drawing, and architecture, and his favorite Bible verse is Matthew 20:16.

Senior Spotlight | Mason Mimms

Mason Mimms has attended Bayshore Christian School for 12 years and plans to attend Coastal Alabama Community College while pursuing a business degree and certificate programs with the goal of opening his own business. Mason also plans to continue racing motocross with hopes of becoming a professional rider one day. Mason attends 3Circle Church. While at BCS, he competed in baseball, wrestling, and golf and is also a member of the National Association of High School Scholars. Outside of school, Mason races motocross with Team Sakai and enjoys skating, building bikes, riding dirt bikes, mountain biking, and working with e-bikes. Mason qualified for the 2025 Loretta Lynn’s National Championship after placing among the top riders in regional motocross competitions, earning invitations in both the 250 and 450 classes. His favorite Bible verse is James 1:12. Mason shared that he is thankful for the teachers and staff who helped strengthen his faith and supported hands-on learning opportunities at Bayshore.

Senior Spotlight | Aiden Morel

Aiden Morel has attended Bayshore Christian School for 6 years and plans to attend the University of Mobile to major in Piano Performance and Law. Aiden attends Jubilee Baptist Church and has been part of the church for 1 year. While at BCS, he competed in soccer for 4 years and cross country for 1 year and also served as theatre stage manager. Aiden earned 1st Prize in the 2023 and 2025 Mobile Piano Virtuoso Competition, 1st Prize in the 2026 Gulf Coast Steinway Piano Competition, and received Honorable Mention in the 2025 Alabama State Piano Competition. He enjoys playing piano and acting, and his favorite Bible verse is 1 John 1:8-10.

Senior Spotlight | Maddux Murrill

Maddux Murrill has attended Bayshore Christian School for 12 years and plans to attend the University of South Alabama to earn a business degree while pursuing his goal of becoming a Mobile firefighter. Maddux attends Coastal Church and has been part of the church for 10 years. While at BCS, he competed in wrestling for 6 years, soccer for 3 years, and baseball for 2 years. Maddux placed in the top 12 in the state for wrestling three years in a row and earned multiple top 5 finishes in local tournaments, including several 1st and 2nd place awards. He also served as a leader in both soccer and wrestling and participated in wrestling clubs, camps, Space Camp, and church camp. Maddux enjoys wrestling, basketball, soccer, video games, learning German, and traveling, and his favorite Bible verse is 1 Chronicles 28:20. Maddux shared that one of his favorite parts of Bayshore was having teachers who already knew him through his sister and made school feel familiar and personal.

Senior Spotlight | Landen Odom

Landen Odom has attended Bayshore Christian School his entire school career and plans to attend Coastal Alabama Community College for two years while continuing to pursue a career in aviation before transferring to Auburn University. Landen attends City Hope Church. While at BCS, he competed in bowling for 5 years. He enjoys flying planes, hunting, scuba diving, hiking, and watching movies, and his favorite Bible verse is 2 Timothy 1:7.

Senior Spotlight | Harrison Lockridge

Harrison Lockridge has attended Bayshore Christian School for 7 years and plans to attend Mississippi State University College of Forest Resources after graduation. Harrison attends Eastern Shore Presbyterian Church and has been part of the church for 6 years. While at BCS, he competed in varsity soccer for 2 seasons and varsity bowling for 6 seasons and also served as captain of the Bayshore men’s bowling team. Harrison enjoys working on cars and playing guitar, and his favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.

Senior Spotlight | Ella Mayfield

Ella Mayfield has attended Bayshore Christian School for 4 years and plans to attend Auburn University to study Journalism. Ella attends 3Circle Church and has been part of the church for 12 years. While at BCS, she competed in soccer and cross country and also served as a Fine Arts Leader. Ella enjoys photography, traveling, cooking, basketball, barrel racing, and playing guitar, and her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 93:4.

Senior Spotlight | Dareon Maynard

Dareon Maynard has attended Bayshore Christian School for 6 years and plans to attend Baylor University to study Public Health with the goal of becoming a physician. Dareon attends Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and has been part of the church for 12 years. While at BCS, he competed in basketball and golf and also served as a BCS Ambassador. Dareon has been involved in numerous leadership and service organizations, including Eagle Scouts, Daphne Junior City Council, Kappa League, Jack and Jill of America, Order of the Arrow, Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership, and serving as a Legislative Page. His favorite Bible verse is Psalm 23:4.

Senior Spotlight | Allie McTaggart

Allie McTaggart has attended Bayshore Christian School for 7 years and plans to attend Mississippi State University, possibly becoming a dental hygienist. Allie attends 3Circle Church and has been a member for 14 years. While at BCS, she competed in cross country and soccer for 6 years and earned numerous honors, including Female Athlete of the Year, Alabama Coastal Runner of the Year, 1A-5A Runner of the Year, All-State Cross Country, All-State Soccer, and North-South All-Star Game Team member. Allie also served as an Ambassador, Athletic Ministry Team member, Solis House Captain, and FCA Vice President. Outside of school, she serves as a WyldLife leader and in the nursery at church. Allie enjoys running, walking, and spending time with family and friends, and her favorite Bible verse is Zephaniah 3:17.

Senior Spotlight | Andrew Hope

Andrew Hope has attended Bayshore Christian School for 5 years and plans to attend Mississippi State University to study Agribusiness. Andrew is a member of Eastern Shore Presbyterian Church. While at BCS, he competed in football, soccer, basketball, swimming, wrestling, and bowling, and served as captain of the varsity football and soccer teams. He also received the 2025 Football Captain Award and was involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Andrew enjoys hunting, boating, and trucks, and his favorite Bible verse is Romans 12:2.

Senior Spotlight | Sarah Jackson

Sarah Jackson has attended Bayshore Christian School for 3 years and plans to attend Auburn University. Sarah attends Faith Family Fellowship. While at BCS, she was involved in theater, Mobile Ballet, and Mu Alpha Theta. She enjoys art, reading, and piano, and her favorite Bible verse is 1 John 4:18.

Senior Spotlight | Jeffrey Johnson

Jeffrey Johnson has attended Bayshore Christian School for 10 years and plans to attend Samford University to major in Business Finance. Jeffrey attends Calvary Chapel and has been part of the church for 11 years. While at BCS, he competed in cross country for 4 years, bowling for 5 years, and tennis for 5 years. Jeffrey earned numerous honors, including National Merit Commended Scholar, CLT10 Regional Scholar Award, the Maxwell Award, Latin Area Award, and 2nd Place in the George S. & Stella M. Knight Essay Contest. He also served as a BCS Ambassador, President of the Robotics Club, FCA Worship Director, and ensemble TA. Jeffrey was involved in the Investing Club, Service Choir, theater, Mu Alpha Theta, FCA, YAF, and Robotics Club. He enjoys piano, tennis, running, singing, reading, and writing, and his favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:6-7. Jeffrey shared that education is fun when teachers enjoy teaching, and he is thankful for the many teachers who made his years at Bayshore enjoyable and meaningful.

Senior Spotlight | Mary Frances Key

Mary Frances Key has attended Bayshore Christian School for 9 years and plans to attend University of Alabama to major in Hospitality and Marketing. Mary Frances attends St. Francis at the Point and has been part of the church for 3 years. While at BCS, she competed in cross country for 4 years, volleyball for 3 years, and tennis and cheer for 1 year each. She also served as a House Captain and was involved as a Distinguished Young Women participant and Girls State Delegate. Mary Frances enjoys playing tennis, going out to eat, watching movies, and spending time on the bay, and her favorite Bible verse is Acts 3:19-20. She added, “Thanks for the forks Mrs. Werneth!!”

Senior Spotlight | Christopher Hart

Christopher Hart has attended Bayshore Christian School for 9 years and plans to attend the University of Mobile to study Christian Ministry. Christopher attends Christ Wesleyan Church and has been part of the church for the past year. While at BCS, he competed in soccer for 3 years and wrestling for 1 year. He also served as soccer team captain and Chapel Prefect and was involved in club soccer and church worship. Christopher enjoys soccer and playing guitar, and his favorite Bible verse is Luke 9:23-24.

Senior Spotlight | Michael Heaton

Michael Heaton attended Bayshore Christian School for 5 years during grades 8-12 and previously attended from kindergarten through 2nd grade. Michael plans to attend the University of South Alabama, where he will be a member of the golf team, with his major currently undecided. He attends Eastern Shore Church of Christ and has been part of the church for 3 years. While at BCS, Michael competed in golf for 5 years and basketball for 2 years. He earned the 1A/2A Golf Individual State Title in 2022 and 2023, was the 2025 State Individual Runner-Up, and helped lead the team to the 2025 1A/2A State Championship title. Michael also served as captain of the Men’s Varsity Golf Team and was involved in Lads to Leaders and volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House. He enjoys golf, hunting, traveling, and video games, and his favorite Bible verse is Psalm 23. Michael shared that some of his favorite memories at Bayshore were the everyday moments spent with friends and helping build the golf program alongside his teammates.

Senior Spotlight | Vivien Hecker

Vivien Hecker has attended Bayshore Christian School for 4 years and plans to attend Jefferson State after graduation. Vivien attends Loxley Presbyterian Church. While at BCS, she competed in cross country for 1 year and received the Chesterton Award, Aspirational Student Scholarship, and Excellence in French, Theater, and Choir awards. Vivien also served as Chapel Prefect and FCA Worship Leader and was involved in Senior Chapel, Theater Tech Crew as Stage Manager, Mu Alpha Theta, FCA, Theater, Service Choir, piano, and youth group. She enjoys piano, reading, running, art, singing, and baking, and her favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 5:1-2. Vivien shared that she is grateful for all Bayshore has done for her through the growth in her faith, friendships, and education during her time at BCS.

Senior Spotlight | Avery Hensley

Avery Hensley has attended Bayshore Christian School for 6 years and plans to attend Mississippi State University to study Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Avery attends Faith Family Fellowship and has been part of the church for 2 years. Avery was named the Class of 2026 Valedictorian and also received the James Maxwell Math/Science Award, G.K. Chesterton Humanities Award, and William Tyndale Character Award. While at BCS, she competed in softball for 2 years and earned the Attitude, Effort, and Sportsmanship Award. Avery served as an Ambassador, Service Ministry Leader, and Chapel Ministry Prefect and was involved in Mu Alpha Theta and theater, serving as Stage Manager for 8 productions. She also works at Parvin Vet Clinic. Avery enjoys training horses, watching movies, and reading books, and her favorite Bible verse is 2 Timothy 1:7. Avery shared that BCS feels like family and that she is thankful for the friendships and teachers who made her time at Bayshore so meaningful.

Senior Spotlight | Annelise Ferguson

Annelise Ferguson has attended Bayshore Christian School for 6 years and plans to attend Mississippi College. Annelise attends Eastern Shore Presbyterian Church. While at BCS, she competed in softball for 2 years and tennis for 1 year. She also received the Spanish Award and Bronze Service Award and served as both a House Captain and Prefect. Annelise was involved in Youth Group, piano, and Mu Alpha Theta. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and being outdoors, and her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 27:4-5. Annelise shared her appreciation for all those at Bayshore who have poured into her education and growth over the years.

Senior Spotlight | Abby Gardner

Abby Gardner has attended Bayshore Christian School for 8 years and plans to attend William Carey University to major in either Criminal Justice or Psychology. Abby attends Faith Family Fellowship and has been part of the church for about 13 years. While at BCS, she competed in cross country for 5 years and served as cross country team captain, Yearbook Editor-in-Chief, and Chapel Prefect. Abby was also involved in theater. She enjoys running and reading, and her favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 2:10.

Senior Spotlight | Rylan Gates

Rylan Gates has attended Bayshore Christian School for 3 years and plans to attend Coastal Alabama Community College before transferring to Auburn University to pursue DO school. Rylan attends Leroy First Baptist and City Hope Church. While at BCS, Rylan competed in baseball and basketball for 3 years and served as Terrae House Captain. He was also involved in Mu Alpha Theta and FCA. Rylan enjoys fishing, painting, thrifting, tennis, and hunting, and his favorite Bible verse is Matthew 7:7.

Senior Spotlight | Lily Greer

Lily Greer has attended Bayshore Christian School for 4 years and plans to attend Samford University to major in Business. Lily attends Church of the Highlands and has been part of the church for 10 years. While at BCS, she competed in tennis for 3 years and served as an Ambassador, Fine Arts Prefect, and Tennis Team Captain. Lily also enjoys painting and serving at church, and her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:33.
