🏊♂️ Fairhope Recreation Center Pool Renovation Update
We know many residents have been eagerly awaiting the reopening of the Fairhope Recreation Center Pool, and we wanted to provide an update on the renovation project.
Construction continues to move forward, and we are pleased with the progress being made. During the renovation process, however, contractors discovered unforeseen issues with the facility's roof that needed to be addressed before work could continue. While these repairs have added a few weeks to the project timeline, they are necessary to ensure the safety and long-term integrity of the facility.
At this time, we are targeting a reopening date of approximately July 20, 2026.
We understand this extended closure has been disappointing, especially during the summer months, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. Our goal is to deliver a renovated facility that will serve Fairhope families for years to come, and we want to make sure the project is completed the right way rather than the fastest way.
We will continue to provide updates as construction progresses and look forward to welcoming everyone back to the pool soon!

🚨 RARE HIGH RISK FOR SIGNIFICANT, LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODING TODAY (6/18/26) 🚨
A rare High Risk of excessive rainfall and flash flooding is in effect today for portions of Southwest Alabama, Southeast Mississippi, and the Western Florida Panhandle—including the Mobile and Pensacola metro areas.
These risks are reserved for extreme events capable of producing major to catastrophic flooding. Expect widespread road closures and flooding in areas that do not typically flood. Rivers, creeks, and streams may quickly rise out of their banks. This is a particularly dangerous and life-threatening setup that is evolving.
