"Should I be worried about my bank deposits?"
This is question that I have been hearing and seeing from people over for the last few months. The media continues to report on bank failures with sensational headlines. While they raise awareness, they also raise anxiety.
But, most of those articles do not tell you that the vast majority of people do not have anything to worry about. And, with some very simple steps, you can confirm for yourself that your bank deposits are safe.
As a former bank regulator for over 30 years, I think educating consumers is extremely important.
