Students in Ms. Mailloux’s Marine Biology Honors class are getting out into the field as they explore coastal environments!

As part of their study of sandy beaches, students are examining the three zones of a typical beach and collecting water chemistry data during each field visit. By tracking their data throughout the year, they can observe how these coastal environments change over time.

Leadership starts with listening! This week, FHS Principal Josh Hibbard welcomed 28 student leaders from Student Government, Student Ambassadors, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, and Tri-M Honor Society for the first Leadership Advisory Council meeting of the year.

Students shared what they love most about FHS, offered ideas for continued growth, and began planning student-centered events to help make the new school year a great one.
