Fairhaven staff attended the MassCUE Fall Conference at Gillette Stadium to connect with fellow educators and share ideas for using technology to support student learning! 💻

A special shoutout to Katherine Ware and Jennifer Perrotti for presenting at the conference! Katherine shared ways to use AI to support English learners, while Jennifer explored using WeVideo to create media projects across grade levels.

We’d also like to recognize Kendyl Santos, Wood Elementary’s Innovation Specialist, for her work on the MassCUE Board of Directors and her contributions to educational technology across Massachusetts.

We’re proud to see our staff representing Fairhaven and helping shape the future of teaching and learning!

Teachers never stop being students! ✨

Following an early dismissal for students, our educators and staff gathered for professional development to collaborate, learn, and share ideas. Staff explored creative ways to use TouchView panels in the classroom, dove into curriculum planning, and deepened their understanding of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Profile of a Learner frameworks.

Marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, Aria Andrade, an Ambassador with Project 351 and grade 9 student at Fairhaven High School, has created a Tribute Stone Garden to honor the lives lost during the 2001 9/11 tragedy.

The garden features 206 small pebbles symbolizing every Massachusetts resident lost on 9/11. At the center of the tribute are 15 hand-painted rocks dedicated specifically to local individuals from Fairhaven and surrounding Massachusetts communities. The memorial honors fallen heroes. “Working alongside family, friends, and school administrators was vital to bringing this memorial to life,” said Ms. Andrade. “Thank you to our community for supporting another impactful project in my Project 351 journey.”

🎉 The 2026-27 school year is officially underway, as our students returned to school this week!

In the days leading up to the first day of school, our Leadership Team came together to prepare for the year ahead. Our dedicated mentors also welcomed new staff during orientation, helping them get off to a strong start.

Our staff then gathered for Opening Day, with a focus on Critical Thinking and AI Integration as we continue preparing our students for a rapidly changing world.

We’re looking forward to a great year ahead! Here’s to a year of learning, growth, and new opportunities across Fairhaven Public Schools. 🎉
