⚓ Congratulations to the group of mariners who successfully completed their Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUPV) course at NMI last Friday!

We’re excited to welcome some fantastic local vendors and entertainment to Fairhaven Maritime Day on Saturday, October 24!

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Aaron Bresnahan has been named Executive Director of the Center for Ocean Policy and Economics (COPE°).

Dr. Bresnahan brings decades of maritime experience spanning executive leadership, strategic planning, business development, and global marine operations. His career includes 23 years with Wärtsilä, where he held senior leadership roles across its maritime businesses.

He also serves as a member of the Northeast Maritime Institute Board of Trustees and brings a strong understanding of COPE°’s mission and vision.

As Executive Director, Dr. Bresnahan will help guide COPE° into its next chapter, strengthening engagement across our network and advancing meaningful collaboration throughout the maritime and ocean sectors.
