The Hunt Ridge Montessori School Hunt Ridge Montessori School is a primary Montessori school located in Fairfield, CT for children ages 2 years and 8 months through 6 years old.

Welcome to the Hunt Ridge Montessori School! We first opened our doors in September, 1983 – when we welcomed six children to their first day of school. Today, we are delighted to teach 85 children each day based on the principles set forth by Maria Montessori. Please enjoy your look into the daily lives of the children at Hunt Ridge. Our children are not simply taught to keep their environment clean—they are given the responsibility and the opportunity to do it themselves. From sweeping the floor and wiping tables to returning materials neatly to the shelves, these everyday tasks have a purpose far beyond cleaning.

A wonderful year end adventure—a nature scavenger hunt! 🌿🔍

Armed with observation skills, curiosity, and a love of the outdoors, our children searched for leaves, flowers, textures, and treasures hidden throughout nature. This joyful activity celebrated so many of the skills they have developed this year: concentration, independence, problem-solving, and a deep appreciation for the natural world.
