Today, we kicked off our tradition of advisor lunches with a special twist: welcoming back our young alumni to join in! It was wonderful to see FCDS alumni back on campus, reconnecting with former classmates, friends, and faculty.

Teacher, Julia Brennan, shares:

“The cool thing about clay is that you can make mistakes and learn how to fix them and roll with the unexpected. Art is a safe space to practice making mistakes, working together to find solutions, and building resilience. It’s a great place to develop these skills and learn how to carry them beyond the classroom.”

Learning, Leading and Growing Together. 🌱🐝

After a picnic lunch, our Grade 9 boys led Grade 4 through stations in the FCDS Pollinator Garden, exploring native plants and learning about the importance of pollinators.

A special thank you to Charlie Stebbins, who helps maintain the extensive garden and joined the boys to share his knowledge and provide hands on learning.

Dylan Connor brings passion, expertise, his famous red pen, and his gift of music (including singing declensions) to the classroom. Now in his fifth year at FCDS and his 28th year of teaching, Dylan continues to bring his energy and enthusiasm to all he does. Outside of the classroom, he is a trusted advisor, FCDS fitness coach, and leader of the CT Latin Day field trip. Over the summer and during school vacations, catch Dylan performing at music venues near and far!
