For Fairfield Engineering students, spring break was an opportunity to put their skills into action and make a difference in Costa Rica.

Through Engineers Without Borders USA, students worked on construction projects at Proyecto Bethany, installing drainage, moving materials, painting, and helping complete a concrete wall that had stood unfinished for two years.

Beyond the worksite, students immersed themselves in Costa Rican culture, built meaningful connections with their host community, and returned to Fairfield with a renewed sense of purpose and a commitment to serving others through engineering. 🦌

Fairfield University and the British Film Institute (BFI) have announced a new educational partnership, making Fairfield the BFI’s first higher education partner in the United States.

The partnership will bring BFI film access, study abroad opportunities at the BFI National Archive in London, and a fall film series to the Fairfield community.

A new chapter begins at Fairfield. 🦌

Corrigan Hall is officially open, welcoming 186 students to their new home on campus. The newest sophomore residence hall was recently blessed and celebrated with members of the Fairfield community.

Named in honor of the late E. Gerald Corrigan ’63, PhD, Trustee Emeritus, and his enduring connection to Fairfield and Jesuit higher education, Corrigan Hall carries forward a legacy of community, learning, and connection.
