We're hiring a Youth Outreach Educator!
This full time position will be responsible for implementing research-based and approved educational programs, including youth outreach to local schools and community partners; promote 4-H state and county programs, events, and activities, working with local partners and media; support other county staff in the delivery modes of 4-H clubs, Clover Kids, school enrichment, after-school programs, days camps, county fair, workshops, and more; and will assist in developing and implementing a year-round county 4-H recruitment and retention strategy to bring diverse youth from entry-point activities into long-term involvement in 4-H. Some evenings and weekend hours will be required.
The Youth Outreach Educator (YOE) will focus on Positive Youth Development while working with youth, volunteers, regional and state Extension and 4-H staff, and other professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate a progressive series of educational programs and experiences that work toward multiple life skill outcomes (productive citizens, outstanding communicators, effective leaders, and successful learners). The County Youth Coordinator will empower youth to reach their full potential through Youth Adult Partnerships and research-based experiences.
