GVMS Student Leadership is hosting a food drive, collecting non perishable food items through January. Drop off items in the main office or the food collection bins right inside the main gate!

Basketball tryouts for the 25-26 season start this Wednesday (boys) and Thursday (girls).

Athletes must have updated Home Campus accounts, including a current physical form.

Our next day off of school is coming up Tuesday, November 11. The day is a non school day in recognition of Veteran’s Day. And yes, there is school on Monday.

November is Month of the Military Family, also known as Military Family Appreciation Month. As a “Purple Star” School with over two dozen military families, Green Valley Middle School uniquely recognizes the sacrifice of military families and military students.

GVMS Athletes of the Week!

Isabella Corral, Volleyball: Bella finished her final season with strength and passion. She has a natural talent for volleyball and plays with power every time she steps on the court and her love for the game shows in the way she gives her best and support her teammates. It’s been such a joy coaching her and watching her grow these past couple of months. Bella’s energy and presence will definitely be missed next season!

Miah Gonzalez, Volleyball: Miah is a leader on the court. She is a talented volleyball player but what stands out is how she commands the court. She is vocal and is always leading efforts to make sure everyone is right where they need to be. While she is one of the shorter players on the court, you wouldn’t know it from her all around game and agility.

The first FSUSD Middle School Championship banners for the 2025-2026 school year belong to Green Valley Middle School. Both the boys and girls captured their respective championship race banners.

Keanu Lamana landed the top spot for boys and the team captured 5 of 6 scoring placements.

The girls secured 4 of 6 scoring placements!

Congratulations to all runners and schools with a special shoutout to Elsa Keller for her tremendous top girls run.

Finally, a humble thank you to our coaches and volunteers.

The GVMS Cross Country Team hosted its final practice before the District Middle School Championship on Wednesday. Today, the team continued with getting slurpees on the final day of practice. They followed that up with their own color run as they will miss the GVMS Viking Color Run on Wednesday. Thanks to all of our coaches and volunteers! Bravo, Vikings!

Ethan Webb -- Ethan is new to the football team this year but you would never know. His combination of speed, size, and general athleticism have made him an offensive standout with multiple touchdowns last week and over the course of the entire season.

Blake Bellamy -- Blake, 7th grade, is a star on the defensive side of the ball with multiple interceptions over the course of the season. Always in the right place at the right time, Blake has helped to lead the team to a winning record this season.
