Every year for the past 15 years I have spent Thanksgiving with two main thoughts. One of course is celebrating with family and friends. The second is doing last minute preparations to start the wrestling season on Monday. Several times today I have thought, wow I am not starting the season Monday. It’s bitter sweet. I am going to miss coaching and being around my awesome wrestlers, but I am not going to miss all the work and stress! Good luck to this years team and the new coach! Looking forward to being your biggest fan!

30 years ago I coached Staples High School Wresting to a State Championship. The following year we took 2nd but placed 6th in the New England Tournament! I had some great athletes to coach. It was a magical time!
