Remembering Mr. McHone. 🧡🖤🇺🇸

Please join us in remembering Staff Sergeant Roger McHone who passed away on Wednesday, April 16. He was a beloved teacher, coach and community member of Fairfield, Iowa. SSG McHone served with the 34th Army Band as a trumpet player from 1971-2009. We share our deepest condolences to his family and thank him for 37 years of service! 🇺🇸

Ben’s dad Kirk has graciously volunteered to be a DD for anyone attending the reunion next weekend! He’s a great guy and far less creepy than the dude with the mustache in the photo below. 🤣 Can’t wait to see everyone in just a few short days!!

Reunion Time! Please join the class of 2002 in reconnecting with old friends and making new memories!

Festivities include:
Family lunch at OB Nelson Park starting at noon. There is a playground, baseball field, dog park, and skatepark all in this area. Bring your own lunch and drinks. There are restrooms at the park, but they might not be the cleanest, so plan accordingly. 😉

Adults-only gathering at Walton starting at 7:00. Cash bar. The kitchen is available and opens at 5:00 for those wanting to dine-in.

Friday, Aug. 19 Varsity football, F/JV/V volleyball, and cross country meet at 7:00.

Sat, Aug. 20 Society of Broken Souls on the Square.

UPDATE: We’d like your input on having the reunion on August 20th or Labor Day Weekend!

Hey there fellow 2002 Grads,
It’s time for our 20TH CLASS REUNION!

Feedback from the 15th was people preferred a summer reunion vs. during the fall or at the time of Homecoming, so at this time, we’re leaning towards Saturday, August 20, 2022 (anything earlier seems to conflict with summer ball and family vacations).

Tentative location will be be Walton Club, and we’re hoping to get a food truck (those details still pending).

I tried to create a poll, but either Facebook has become more complicated, or I’m not tech savvy. Please comment if this works for you, does not work for you, or if you don’t intend to join no matter the date!

Please tag fellow classmates in order to ensure maximum exposure in the hopes of reaching everyone possible.
