A beloved feature of May Faire is the Maypole dance. The Maypole symbolizes the tree of life and growth of spring. As students dance around the pole, they braid colorful ribbons into beautiful patterns, reflecting the renewal of community and connection.

At Singing Cedars, Maypole dancing is part of the curriculum, supporting important aspects of child development such as coordination, balance, and spatial awareness. The collaborative nature of the dance also nurtures cooperation, listening, and a sense of social harmony.

🫧 ACTIVITIES | Free kid-friendly fun includes a scavenger hunt, spring yard games, bubble play, and Maypole dancing! Additional activities—like Sweet Stroll, the puppet show, face painting, and gem dig—are available with tokens.

🧺 FOOD + DRINK | Picnic fare at the Faire! Fresh sandwiches, simple sides, and refreshing drinks, ready for a relaxed picnic afternoon. Plus sweet treats and tasty beverages from local vendors.

🎶 ENTERTAINMENT | Kicking off at 11:30 AM with a bagpipe processional, followed by live Celtic folk music on the Main Stage, spring pageantry, and Maypole dancing through 2:00 PM.

Our play-based kindergarten nurtures the whole child by supporting healthy physical, emotional, and imaginative development.
