🐉🪰 Meet Dragon, our little dragonfly friend!

Today we found an injured dragonfly in our yard. While observing him, we noticed that he was still alive, but sadly, his wing and tail appeared to be injured. 💔

The kids decided to call him Dragon, and we carefully moved him to a safe place.

We learned that dragonflies eat small insects and bugs that they usually catch while flying, so of course we had to check our yard to see if we could find a little meal for our new friend. 🦟🌿

Later, we found some blocks that we could use to build our own dragonflies! The kids had so much fun creating their little dragonfly friends. 🧱🪰

What started with finding one tiny injured visitor turned into a whole morning of observing, learning, creating, and caring for nature. ❤️

This week, we had a special visit from Ms. Kristin, our Early Learning Coach, who brought us Raising A Reader book bags! 📚❤️

We’re so excited! Each bag contains four books that the children can take home to enjoy with their families. After returning the bag, they’ll be able to check out a new one—just like having our own little TesaLand library! 🥰

It’s a wonderful way to encourage family engagement and, most importantly, help our little ones develop a lifelong love of books and reading. 📖✨

🎨✨ A special day at TesaLand! ✨

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Kristin Nicole, our coach from the Quality Counts Program at the Solano County Office of Education.

She brought a wonderful selection of art materials for the children to explore. From painting to creating with buttons, ribbons, and shells, the children enjoyed experimenting with different textures and materials while expressing their creativity. Every masterpiece was unique!

A big thank you, Ms. Kristin, for another fun and inspiring visit, and thank you to Solano County Office of Education and Quality Counts for supporting programs that enrich children’s learning experiences. 💙

☀️🪐 This week at TesaLand, we began learning about our Solar System! 🌎

We listened to the 8 Planets song and learned that Earth is the planet we live on and that it, along with seven other planets, travels around the Sun. The children were fascinated to discover that there is so much more beyond our own planet!

We are taking baby steps, building a strong foundation before diving deeper into the amazing world of space. There is so much more to discover, and we can’t wait to continue this journey together. 💙✨

Learning starts with curiosity, and today there was plenty of it! 🥰🚀

Magnets are like magic! ✨

Today we explored how magnets attract and repel each other, discovering that they stick to metal but not to most other materials. The children were especially fascinated to learn that magnets can even work through other objects, like our magnetic building blocks!

Our favorite experiment was watching iron filings move in water as we guided them with magnets. Seeing the tiny particles shift and dance was truly amazing, and the children were full of curiosity, excitement, and wonder. 🥰

Hands-on science is such a fun way to encourage exploration, observation, and critical thinking!
