Fairfield Meditz students studying broadcast communication got a behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced world of news production during a visit to WFSB - Channel 3 Eyewitness News, organized by Professor of Communication Karla Baguiarena.

Students watched a live news broadcast with anchor Kara Sullivan, gained insights and advice from newsroom reporters and staff, and observed a live interview with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration astronauts led by meteorologist Tyler Hughes. The experience gave students the opportunity to see the concepts they have explored in class come to life at a professional level ahead of creating their own newscasts using stories they developed throughout the semester.
