Solano Community College Library

The library will be closed from November 26th to November 28th for Thanksgiving break! We’ll be back with regular hours on Monday, December 1st.

October 5th-11th is Banned Book Week, a nationally recognized event that raises awareness about censorship by highlighting books that have been challenged or banned in libraries or schools. This years theme is “Censorship Is So 1984. Read For Your Rights.”

Come check out our Banned Book Books display in the SCC library lobby, see what the top 10 most challenged books of 2024 are, and check out a copy for yourself!

Check out all the cool resources the Vacaville campus library has to offer! We have textbooks required for classes, TI-84 and TI-36 calculators, Chromebooks, and anatomy models. And of course, you can always talk to our lovely librarians for help with research, finding the perfect source, citations, and so much more. Stop by Monday-Thursday 10 am - 2 pm to check us out!

Stop by the Vallejo campus every 3rd Tuesday from 10-1 to talk to the wonderful folks from the Solano County Library! They can help you sign up for a library card and check out some books.

Fun fact- did you know that Solano County Library and Solano College Library are in different systems? SCC is actually in the Napa County Library system. If you get our library cards and a Solano County Library card, you'll have access to two counties' worth of resources!
