Last week, Fairfield Prep's inaugural AMDG cohort met for a Mass celebrated by Fr. Brendan Coffey, S.J., a walk/hike, and lunch at the Fairfield Jesuit residence in preparation for their upcoming pilgrimage on the Camino Ignaciano later this month.
The AMDG program was launched by Boston College in 2024, and its goal is to energize the personal and communal religious practices of youth and young adults between the ages of 16 and 29. The program collaborates with fifteen high schools, five colleges, and five parishes across the U.S. to immerse over six hundred participants in a year-long faith exploration and service journey.
We pray for safe travels and open hearts for our Prep students and adults. May this pilgrimage deepen their faith, strengthen their bonds, and help them find God in all things.

In May, Prep students volunteered at Liberation Programs, Inc., an organization that provides treatment and prevention services for substance use and mental health disorders with a goal of helping individuals and families overcome addiction in order to restore their lives and ultimately strengthen communities. Students helped sort and pack about 125 wellness bags for clients in the program's residential treatment programs.
Through inpatient programs, outpatient and intensive outpatient services, education and prevention efforts, community outreach services, mobile outreach, and supportive housing, Liberation Programs serves over 1,000 individuals a day. The organization has locations in Bridgeport, Greenwich, Norwalk, Stamford, and Westport.
Thank you to John Hamilton, CEO, and the staff at Liberation Programs for their partnership. We look forward to future volunteer opportunities!

Congratulations to Andy Thung '27 and Ryan Ventrelle '26 on winning this year's Southern Connecticut Conference Scholar-Athlete Award!
The SCC Scholar Athlete recognition program recognizes the “best of the best” in the conference. In addition to strong academic and athletic achievements, recipients must demonstrate leadership qualities by being a positive role model for other students, both on and off the field; helping a teammate overcome adversity; showing a commitment to self-improvement; and putting the needs of the team before their own. Andy and Ryan are true examples of Men For Others, Champions Together!
