As construction nears completion on the Barron Center for Arts & Recreation, we are in awe of what this community has built together. From the exterior rising on our campus to the stunning spaces taking form inside, the Barron Center is everything we envisioned and more.
To the alumni, parents, friends, and philanthropists of Fairfield Prep who made this transformative project a reality: thank you. Your generosity will be felt in every game, every performance, every practice, and every moment of brotherhood that happens within these walls for generations to come.
The Barron Center opens at the end of the month. We can't wait to welcome our community inside.

Last week, Prep faculty and staff gathered in the McLeod Innovation Center for vital First Aid & CPR training led by head varsity basketball coach Mike Papale!
Beyond coaching on the court, Coach Papale is the co-founder of the In A Heartbeat Foundation, an organization dedicated to preventing deaths from sudden cardiac arrest by donating automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and funding research for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Thank you, Coach Papale, for helping keep our school community safe, trained, and prepared!
Blessings on this Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola!
Today we celebrate the founder of the Society of Jesus, the man whose vision, courage, and burning desire to find God in all things gave birth to Jesuit education around the world.
Hear from Fairfield Prep President Dr. Christian Cashman as he shares how the Prep community goes forth each and every day to serve the greater glory of God.
Go forth and set the world on fire. AMDG.

Today we spotlight our recent Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee: Kevin Martin '81. Martin was a skilled goalie in Prep's hockey program helping bring the Jesuits to three state championship wins in 1979, 1980 and 1981. Learn more at www.fairfieldprep.org/ahof.
We continue to highlight our recent inductees into the Fairfield Prep Athletic Hall of Fame. Today, we spotlight the late Ed McCarthy '61. McCarthy quarterbacked Fairfield Prep’s AHOF-honored 1960 football team that went 10-0, posted six shutouts and was awarded the Waskowitz Trophy, emblematic of the “official” state championship. It was a squad many feel was the school’s best ever. Learn more about McCarthy at www.fairfieldprep.org/ahof.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the Prep community, we have raised $42.2 million towards our goal of $46.7 million for the Barron Center for Arts & Recreation. This opportunity to complete our campus footprint enables Fairfield Prep to fulfill our Jesuit promise of caring for the whole of our boys, giving them the space to build their strength, deliver their voice, and share the spirit of the Prep brotherhood.
Go Forth: The Campaign for Fairfield Prep has raised 96% of our $90 million goal, a testament to what happens when a community rallies around a shared mission. Built on three pillars — Build the Brotherhood, Invest in Intellect, and Commit to Care — Go Forth is strengthening our ability to cultivate tomorrow's heroic leaders prepared to respond to the needs of the times.
We are so close, but we can't cross the finish line without you. Every gift matters. Every donor moves the needle. And there are many ways you can have an impact on our efforts. Visit goforth.fairfieldprep.org to join us on this journey.
Philanthropic support of Fairfield Prep has made a lasting difference in the lives of our young men. From all of us at Prep, THANK YOU. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and commitment to our Jesuit mission.
As we look ahead to another exciting year, we are especially eager to open the new Barron Center for Arts and Recreation, a milestone that would not have been possible without the generosity of supporters like you.
To our loyal alumni, parents, and benefactors, thank you again for believing in Fairfield Prep.

The Freshman Experience is underway, and the Class of 2030 is already showing what it means to be Prep men. Over the past three weeks, incoming freshmen dove into foundational courses designed to build their academic skills, habits of mind, and Ignatian values they'll carry throughout their four years while also beginning to build the brotherhood.
Executive Functioning Skills — students explored organization, planning, time management, working memory, and the power of building strong routines.
Foundations of Mathematics — from classifying prime numbers to exploring the Pythagorean Theorem, students tackled real-world math problems head-on.
Effective Writing — students learned the importance of clarity, built their essays from outline to thesis to final draft, and sharpened their skills through peer editing.
Study Skills — students identified their personal learning styles and practiced active study strategies.
Prep for PREP — students navigated their schedules on a scavenger hunt, learned to submit assignments on Schoology, participated in a service project, prayed the Examen, and learned the Prep Fight Song from upperclassmen.
Welcome to Fairfield Prep, Class of 2030. The journey begins!
