At the core of what we all do lies in human relationships. How can we effectively build relationships across differences? Understanding and applying key neuroscience principles when working with men of color is vital for a successful relationship - one that restores well-being. This workshop expands how we think about trauma and offers a culturally appropriate approach that supports collective well-being. Student Spotlight: Shikeda Paucar
What Does Social Work Mean to You?
“To me, social work means being there for someone and providing the tools and being empathetic and considerate to others, no matter the race or religion. Being a social worker is also something that has been in my heart because my mentor was a social worker, and I don’t think I'd be here today if she never entered my life.”
