Teddy Bear Corner

Our friends in our Middle Toddler (Room 4) classroom were hard at work mixing up some salt dough to use in the classroom! Everyone loved rolling, stretching and making some very creative creations!

For our unit of study on “Reptiles and Amphibians”, our Older Pre-K classroom conducted a science experiment where they turned normal eggs into rubbery reptile eggs! Our friends all charted their guesses as to what would happen after soaking the eggs in vinegar for a few days and were surprised to see the results this morning! 🦎

Our friends in our Younger Infant (Room 1) classroom enjoyed the sun and sandbox after using the sprinklers this morning! ☀️

Our Younger Infant (Room 1) classroom created a sweet sensory based art project this morning! Our friends all enjoyed feeling the sticky slime that their teachers made to then create melted ice cream cone artwork!

We would like to thank the Fairfield Police Department - Connecticut for visiting our Early Learning Center this morning as we continue our unit of study on “Community Helpers”! Our friends enjoyed showing off their own police hats, asking the officers questions about their jobs and most importantly.. checking out their police cars!

Our friends in our Younger Toddler (Room 3) classroom put on their postal caps this morning to participate in a fun color sorting activity where they each created color coded mail for art and then shipped their letters away!

We would also like to thank the families that have signed up to participate in our “Community Helpers” unit of study this week! From learning about hearts, to planes, and even hairdressing, our friends have had lots of fun exploring all of the different people that help our communities everyday!

It was everyone’s favorite day of the year today.. the day Alene's Ice Cream comes to visit as part of our unit of study on “Community Helpers”! We all loved enjoying our special treats and seeing her famous pink ice cream truck! 🍦

Our Older Toddler (Room 5) classroom was on the case today! As a part of our unit of study on “Community Helpers”, our friends put on their detective hats to help solve a mystery crime that happened in their classroom today. From “dusting” for footprints, to identifying matching numbers and colors, they were finally able to solve the case!

We would like to wish all our families a happy Mother’s Day! We hope all of our moms enjoy their special day and the special presents and cards each child made!
