🥎WELCOME COACH BONITA ALLEN

Solano Community College Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Bonita Allen as the next Head Softball Coach.

A California native, Coach Allen returns home after coaching stops across the country, bringing experience at the NCAA Division I, Division II, and NAIA levels.

Throughout her coaching career, Allen has helped athletes earn conference honors, academic recognition, and championship opportunities while fostering a culture built on excellence, accountability, and personal growth.

As Solano Softball returns to competition, Coach Allen will lead the program into an exciting new era focused on competitive success, academic achievement, and preparing student-athletes for success beyond the game.

“I am honored to return home to California and lead the next chapter of Solano Softball. I look forward to building a program that our student-athletes, alumni, and community can be proud of.”

Please join us in welcoming Coach Allen to the Falcon family as we begin building the future of Solano Softball.

Solano College’s top beach volleyball pair of Kaylie Reyes and Giana Guintu delivered a competitive showing at the NorCal Championships, finishing ranked 13th in Northern California after a strong run through a challenging bracket.

Guintu/Reyes opened the tournament with a decisive win over Child/Hojnacki (Monterey Peninsula), taking control early and advancing with a 28-17 victory. They continued their momentum in the next round, battling through a three-set match against Agnelli/Lee (Cabrillo). After dropping the first set 14-21, the Solano duo responded with resilience, winning the next two sets 21-12 and 15-6 to move forward in the bracket.

Their run was halted briefly by Heikkala/Timm (Monterey Peninsula), who secured a 21-19, 21-10 victory. However, Guintu/Reyes bounced back in the consolation bracket with an impressive straight-set win over Brooks/Smith (College of the Siskiyous), 21-12, 21-9.

In their final match of the tournament, Guintu/Reyes faced a tough matchup against Albiez/Williams (Feather River). Despite a strong effort, Solano fell in two close sets, 21-17, 21-17.
